Kanye West has booked his Sunday Service choir to sing at a controversial evangelical event this weekend.

The rapper's gospel choir is booked to perform at Awaken 2020, a religious gathering that has sparked outrage from the LGBTQ community for its lineup of speakers.

The event is scheduled for the Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona on Saturday, Jan. 18.

Cindy Jacobs, who has been openly hostile towards gay marriage, and Lou Engle, an advocate of Uganda's anti-homosexuality bill, are booked to speak during the event, WENN.com reports.

Engle had high praise for Kanye, who gave up secular music to lead the unwashed masses to Jesus.

"We believe Kanye is a sign to this nation that in a moment, thousands and thousands can be swept into the kingdom when (God) converts key people and their voices will be like thunder," Engle told The Western Journal.

Kanye, 42, was not fazed by the backlash on social media. The producer and his wife Kim Kardashian, 39, watched the LA Lakers defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Staples Center on Jan. 13.

Fans online expressed their indignation and outrage that Kanye has agreed to allow his choir to perform at the religious gathering.

"People will still stan (stalk) Kanye despite him legitimizing and supporting radical anti-LGBTQ evangelicals/bigots," one fan tweeted, while another wrote: "What a f--king a--hole".

Kanye is rumored to be taking his Sunday Service choir on a world tour later this year.

Kanye West released his dark music video for his single "Closed On Sunday". It's fitting that Kanye released the visual on Thanksgiving Day since it's basically a plug for Chick-fil-A fast food restaurants.

The single is off his newly released platinum album Jesus Is King, which he describes as "an expression of the gospel." Listen to Jesus Is King here.

The video opens with Kanye watching over his wife, Kim Kardashian-West and their children, North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm, as they sleep on a rock formation in the desert.

In the next scene we see a caravan of light armored vehicles arriving in the desert, ready to do battle against unseen forces. The music video has an apocalyptic end-of-days tone to it.

After taking group portraits, Kanye climbs a rock formation to commune with God. "Follow Jesus, listen and obey," he raps. "No more livin' for the culture, we nobody's slave."

I pray to god that he'll strengthen my hand
They will think twice steppin' onto my land
I draw the line, it's written in the sand
Try me and you will see that I ain't playin'

Now, back up off my family, move your hands
I got my weapons in the spirit's land
    I, Jezebel don't even stand a chance
Jezebel don't even stand a chance

Everyone's favorite part of the video is the final shot - when little North screams "CHIC-FIL-AAAAA!"

President Donald Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr., is a big fan of Kanye West's new album Jesus Is King. Kanye's 9th studio album is predicted to move over 400,000 copies in first week sales, making it one of the biggest selling albums of the year.

If Trump Jr is a fan of Kanye's new music, his dad is probably a gospel fan, too. Visitors to the White House likely hear the strains Kanye's hip-hop gospel music from the private residence.

Although the album has its critics, Trump Jr. was very impressed with what he heard. He took the time to praise the former rapper for being a pioneer and having the courage to blaze trails where few rappers dare to go.

"Kanye West is cracking the culture code. @kanyewest's new album #JesusIsKing is the epitome of fearless creativity and 'dangerous, unapproved' ideas. Leftists always try to silence those who are speaking truth. They're waging a war on our family and culture. Kanye is a pioneer."

After months of delays, Kanye West's long-anticipated Jesus Is King gospel album is finally here. But not everyone is impressed.

Jesus Is King is just 35 minutes long and relies heavily on Biblical texts.

Fox News called Jesus Is King "an evangelical rant about the evils of the modern world."

Kanye held listening parties in Detroit, Chicago and New York City over the weekend. While in New York, Kanye and his wife Kim Kardashian-West took their children, North West, 6, Saint West, 3, and 1-year-old Chicago West to Cipriani's for lunch before holding his Sunday Service.

After dropping his album Kanye surprised fans by announcing he will stop making secular music and focus only on gospel music.

The announcement was met with skepticism and shock.

Many social media users believe Kanye is suffering from a mental illness characterized by religious fanaticism.

Religious fanaticism is defined as an obsessive enthusiasm and hypercritical devotion to religion.

Religious fanaticism is linked to many psychiatric illness, including Schizophrenia, Bipolar disorder, Anti-Social Personality Disorder, depression and anxiety.

Kanye West treated lucky fans to an advance preview of his album Jesus Is King in Detroit, Michigan on Friday night.

The rapper was supposed to drop his highly anticipated gospel album on Friday, but instead, he hastily organized a mystery fan get together in Detroit.

Earlier in the day, a spokesperson at the Fox Theater told Rolling Stone magazine the star booked the event on the same day and refused to share further details.

The spokesperson said he usually doesn't book the theater on the same day - but it's Kanye West!

Lucky ticket holders who attended the gathering, dubbed Jesus Is King: A Kanye West Experience, enjoyed a sneak preview of the long-awaited gospel album.

The event was free but ticket holders were asked to surrender their phones during the secretive event to prevent leaks. The preview session also featured a video clip from Kanye's upcoming IMAX documentary, Jesus Is Lord.

The Yeezy mogul's wife Kim Kardashian shared a clip online of fans cheering the star as he made a special appearance.

She later took to her Instagram stories to announce the project was set to drop on Sunday, in addition to more listening sessions to be held in his native Chicago and NYC.

"Kanye's doing a listening session in Chicago tomorrow, then NYC (New York City) Sunday. He's dropping the album Sunday. Just a few final tweaks to the mixes."

The 12-track album reportedly includes the previously released track "Water", which he debuted at one of his Sunday Service gospel gatherings earlier this year, along with tunes including "Follow God", "New Body", "Up From the Ashes", and "Sunday".
