A new gospel song with a different kind of message is going viral on social media. The song, titled “Drop it Low for Jesus” by RWKSY (Real Women Know Something, Y’all) is creating a buzz and sparking debates over how far gospel musicians should stray from the church’s teachings.
“Drop it Low for Jesus” is from IFC’s Sherman’s Showcase. According to lifestyle blogger B. Scott, Sherman’s Showcase features music and clips drawn from the forty-year old library of a legendary (but fictional) musical variety show.
Sherman’s Showcase is inspired by shows like Solid Gold, Soul Train and Laugh-In.
