The internet is debating whether singer Monica rocked a hand-sewn imitation Fendi outfit for her Versuz battle with former nemesis Brandy Norwood.
Lipstick Alley denizens and gossipmongers spent hours picking apart Monica’s outfit down to the stitching.
They zoomed in on the loose threads and what appeared to be part of a zipper sticking out of her top.
Verzuz viewers must have thought the outfit was authentic Fendi. They called the Atlanta store the next morning hoping to purchase it. But store employees broke the bad news that the outfit wasn’t an original Fendi look.
What gave it away? Maybe it was the slipshod handiwork of whomever Monica hired to stitch the outfit together.
One LA denizen wrote, “She needs to come up to nyc and visit dapper dan….no shade tho.”
Another wrote: “They were calling Fendi for this? Monica looked a mess. Those colors are not good for ‘tv’. And the all over print? Come on now, Mo. Not even going to touch Brandy’s choices…”
