DaBaby was arrested Thursday on a concealed weapon charge while on a shopping spree with his crew of hard legs in Beverly Hills, according to multiple reports.
The rapper, real name Jonathan lyndale Kirk, 29, is pictured above holding a stack of cash in a typical photo he shares on his social media.
DaBaby was arrested after a security guard at the Gucci store on Rodeo Drive called 911 to report a man with a gun in his waistband walking among a group of men on the prestigious street.
Police arrived just after 5 p.m. and “made contact with the group after they entered a vehicle and were preparing to leave the area.”
A 9mm handgun was found after a search of the vehicle, according to the police report. DaBaby, who was previously arrested in January 2020 for assault and battery, was charged with one count of carrying a concealed weapon and one count of a loaded firearm in a vehicle.
He was released from the Beverly Hills Police Department on $35,000 bond. The rapper’s court hearing is scheduled for March 25 at the Airport Courthouse in Los Angeles.
Following his arrest, DaBaby posted photos of himself in a studio with his children. He captioned the photos, “Swipe left to see why I can’t stop hustling.”
