Rumor has it that Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot (right) will resign on Monday, amid allegations she cheated on her life partner, Amy Eshleman (left).
According to gossipmongers on Twitter.com, Lightfoot had an affair with a female cop on her security detail.
When her life partner allegedly found out about the other woman, a fight ensued between the 6-foot-tall former librarian and the 5-foot-1 mayor.
According to Twitter user @soit_goes, “Lori allegedly assaulted her wife when we was confronted about it and her wife called the police.”
Sandrarose.com couldn’t find any legit news sources to corroborate the rumors.
Failed mayoral candidate Jamal Green weighed in on the gossip, tweeting: “If something isn’t true, simply put out a statement and kill the rumor. We all hope the resignation is true but the reason should be one of your former scandals. Anjanette Young, demonizing Adam Toledo, these are good reasons too..”
Lightfoot famously fired Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie T. Johnson after he passed out behind the wheel of his car in 2019. Johnson had been drinking with a female police officer with whom he’d had an affair.
