A former dancer has accused rapper Snoop Dogg of sexually assaulting her in a recording studio restroom in 2013. The allegation comes ahead of Snoop Dogg’s headlining gig at the Super Bowl at Sofi Stadium in Inglewood, CA. on Saturday.
The woman, who is identified as Jane Doe in court documents obtained by PEOPLE, filed a lawsuit against Snoop, born Calvin Broadus Jr. and his long-term friend and hip hop personality Bishop Don Juan (real name Donald Campbell).
In the lawsuit filed in California on Thursday, Jane Doe – who is described as a professional dancer, host, model and actress – alleges that she was assaulted by Snoop and Don Juan in 2013.
Jane Doe alleges she and a friend went to one of the rapper’s performances at Club Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim, California. They went to the VIP area during the event, and “ran into” Don Juan, according to the complaint.
Don Juan, 71, allegedly invited Jane Doe to Snoop’s studio, where he allegedly told her, “I can take you home or I can take you back to my place with me.” The complaint alleges the woman asked to be taken home, according to PEOPLE.
The filing claims the woman fell asleep in the car and when she awoke the car was pulling up to Don Juan’s home. She claims she was “exhausted” and fell back to sleep.
She then alleges she woke up to Don Juan forcing her to perform oral sex on him. Afterwards, Don Juan drove the woman to a recording studio where Snoop was taping the television series “Snoop Dogg’s Double G News Network.”
Jane Doe claims she felt ill and went to the restroom where she alleges Snoop entered and forced her to perform oral sex on him. She complied, allegedly, because she “was panicked and terrified” and feared for her life.
“Plaintiff found herself thinking about her job security if she displeased Defendant Snoop Dogg,” according to the lawsuit.
Snoop, 50, has denied the allegations, writing on Instagram: “gold digger season is here”.
On Thursday Snoop released a track that features him free-styling over the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” theme.
Snoop recently purchased the rights to Death Row Records, the notorious independent record label that helped launch his rap career under the management of incarcerated Death Row Records founder Suge Knight.
