Wendy Williams created a new Instagram account and uploaded what appeared to be a new video of herself strolling along a beach near her winter home in Miami, Florida.
In the more than 5-minute video, filmed by her only child Kevin Hunter Jr., Wendy wears a black hooded sweatshirt and a New York Yankees baseball cap on a cloudy, windy day.

She tells Kevin that she walks on the beach every morning and it’s windy because “It’s still winter.”
But eagle-eyed social media users believe the video is at least a year old.
“I believe this is an old video,” said one Instagram user, who pointed out that Wendy said her mother is in Florida, and also referred to herself as being 56 years old. However, Wendy announced last year that her mother had died, and the daytime talk show host is currently 57 years old.
“This have to be old because she said its good to have family like her mom dad and others… But I thought her mother had passed,” wrote a follower.
“This video is old. She keeps referencing that she is 56 years old but she’s actually 57,” someone else commented.
But Wendy’s publicist told Page Six that she “simply misspoke,” and meant her mother is buried in Florida. The rep also insisted the video was taped Wednesday morning.
A source told Page Six the weather in Miami was cloudy and windy Wednesday morning.
Wendy has been out of work since July 2021 when she was sickened by COVID. She was also briefly hospitalized for a mental health evaluation.
Wendy’s pal, actress/comedienne Sherri Shepherd was named the permanent guest host of The Wendy Williams Show.
However, Wendy said she is preparing for her big comeback.
“I wanna be all I can be and then get back to New York and get on down with The Wendy Williams Show,” she said Wednesday.
