Kandi Burrus’s Blaze Seafood & Steak restaurant was shut down on Wednesday night – but not for failing a health inspection.

The restaurant on Cascade Road in Atlanta was closed for business after an employee shot Kandi Burrus’ nephew, Chef Melvin, whom she helped raise as a boy.

Chef Melvin posted graphic photos of his gunshot wound on Instagram.

According to South Fulton police, the two employees were involved in an altercation when one employee got a gun and opened fire, striking the other worker in the arm.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect fled the scene and is still at large.

The reality star and her husband Todd Tucker opened the restaurant – named after their daughter – in 2020.

This is the second shooting at a restaurant owned by Kandi Burruss and her husband.

In 2020, three people were shot and wounded inside Kandi’s Old Lady Gang Southern Cuisine in East Point.

Kandi’s reality TV series, Kandi and The Gang, which was filmed at an Old Lady Gang location, cast Kandi and her establishments in a bad light.

The workers were unprofessional, disrespectful, and unmotivated.

It is unclear if her poorly-rated reality TV series will be renewed for a second season.
