Elon Musk, the new owner of Twitter, reached out to rapper Kanye West to discuss his anti-Semitic tweet that was deleted for violating Twitter rules.

In a tweet on Saturday night, Kanye, legal name Ye West, wrote:

“I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE. The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”

Twitter users questioned why Ye’s tweeting privileges were revoked when the Tesla founder and CEO welcomed him back to the platform the day before.

In a tweet on Monday night, Elon wrote, “Talked to ye today & expressed my concerns about his recent tweet, which I think he took to heart.”

Ye was also restricted on Instagram following complaints that one or more of his messages were anti-Semitic.

But fans say big tech canceled Ye because he spoke the truth in an exclusive 2 part interview with Tucker Carlson that aired on Fox News last week.
