Herschel Walker’s campaign reportedly fired a senior staffer who leaked stories to the Daily Beast to keep him out of the US Senate race.
CNN reported on Friday that Taylor Crowe was fired as the campaign’s political director on Wednesday.
Crowe was terminated the same day the Daily Beast reported that the woman who said Walker paid for her abortion in 2009 is the mother of one of Walker’s four children.
The campaign suspected all along that Crowe was the insider leaking damning information about Walker to the press.
Sources say Crowe privately tried to discourage Walker from running against Senator Rev. Raphael Warnock.
Walker, who is pro-life, called the abortion allegations a lie and he threatened to sue the Daily Beast for publishing the report.
In Georgia, @GOP hopeful Herschel Walker's own senior campaign staff are leaking stories to the press in an effort to keep Walker out of the Senate.

The Daily Beast also broke the story earlier this year that Walker fathered multiple secret children. The public only knew about his eldest son, Christian Walker, who slammed his father on Twitter after the abortion story broke.
“Every family member of Herschel Walker asked him not to run for office, because we all knew (some of) his past,” Christian tweeted. “Every single one. He decided to give us the middle finger and air out all of his dirty laundry in public, while simultaneously lying about it. I’m done.”
