Sean “Puffy” Combs called jailed rapper Gunna to show support while he continues to sit in the Fulton County Jail.

Combs shared a video on Instagram of his phone call with Gunna, in which he encouraged the rapper to “keep the faith” and “stay laser focused.”

Puffy also told him jail would make him stronger when he’s finally released.

“I’m praying, man. I’m praying,” Puffy told Gunna, who replied: “Yeah, that’s it. They gonna work. I’m doing nothing but preserving my self and keeping my mind together and getting myself right for when I’m back out there.”

Puffy continued: “I’m sorry you going through this, though, king. You feel me?” To which Gunna replied: “But it’s part of the journey so I have to just understand that. It’s just about climbing and refocusing and making sure I’m prepared for when I do come out.”

Gunna was arrested in May on a single RICO charge. Rapper Young Thug and 26 others were also arrested on 56 counts, including murder and gang-banging.

Gunna’s charge was not violence-related, as Kim Kardashian noted in a tweet on Friday.

Kim also tweeted that California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a bill banning the use of rap lyrics in court cases.

She captioned the tweet: “Amazing news out of CA- great work @GavinNewsom
! Your turn Georgia! #FreeGunna [sic].”

Gunna was twice denied bond. His attorneys filed for bond a third time on Sept. 26.

His attorneys argued, “The State has presented no evidence to support its claims of dangerousness and has dismissed the only serious overt act that was present when the first bond hearing was held.”

Gunna and Thug are scheduled to go on trial on January 9, 2023.
