Rapper Takeoff of the Migos was reportedly shot dead at an event in Houston, Texas early Tuesday. He was 28.

The Grammy-nominated rapper was considered the “quiet one” in the group.

Takeoff, born Kirshnik Ball, was shot while playing dice with band member Quavo and other men at a bowling alley in Houston, according to TMZ.

According to reports, Quavo was losing money and he got into an argument with another man. Their entourage began shooting and the other men returned fire. Takeoff was caught in the crossfire and killed by his own man. Quavo was not injured.

Police were called to the 810 Billiards & Bowling alley around 2:30 a.m. They found Takeoff deceased from gunshot wounds to the head and neck.

Two other gunshot victims were transported to the hospital in private vehicles.

Photos and videos from the scene show Takeoff laying on the floor while others walked by his body nonchalantly.

Moments before the shootout, Quavo (R) posted photos of himself and their entourage on his Instagram Story. A handgun is visible on the car seat between Quavo and the driver.

Takeoff is the second high net worth individual to be killed while playing dice with affiliates of Rap-A-Lot Records in Houston in recent months.

Duke The Jeweler, of Chicago, was robbed and shot dead after playing dice with the Rap-A-Lot crew in Houston in September.

Takeoff was Quavo’s nephew and Quavo is a cousin of ex-Migos rapper Offset. The boys were raised together by Quavo’s mother Edna Marshall in Lawrenceville, a suburb of Atlanta, Ga.

The group released their first mixtape in 2011 followed by multiple run-ins with the law.

In 2016, Ye, formerly Kanye West, announced that he’d signed Migos to a management deal with his G.O.O.D. Music label. But they were dropped from the label the following year.

The trio recently fell out when it was revealed that Offset slept with Quavo’s then-girlfriend, Saweetie.

Offset left to go solo while Takeoff (L) and Quavo (R) continued as a duo called Unc & Phew. In October, Unc & Phew released their debut album entitled Only Built for Infinity Links.

No suspects have been arrested.
