Lil Durk’s Neighborhood Heroes Foundation organized a “Dinner with Durk” at Gibson’s steakhouse in Chicago on Tuesday.
Durk hosted the event that was attended by 5 of nine Chicago mayoral candidates. Insiders say Durk has secretly endorsed Mayor Lori Lightfoot for re-election.
Candidates Ja’Mal Green, Kam Buckner, Brandon Johnson and Roderick Sawyer also attended the event, along with 30 high schoolers.

Chicago residents were disappointed that Lightfoot attended an event hosted by a known gang member who has boasted about killing his “opps” in his “music.”
One person wrote: “Taking a pic with someone who is promoting violence in the city that your ‘trying’ to stop [laughing crying emoji].”
Another person tweeted @ Lightfoot: “So the Black Disciples support you?”
A couple of things a) have you ever listened to his music? He outright encourages the gang violence you are supposed to be stopping (you get an F for that assignment)
