Anita Baker booted Babyface from The Songstress tour after enduring threats and bullying from his fans.
The “Rapture” singer tweeted on Tuesday:
“After Silently, Enduring Cyber Bulling/Verbal Abuse & Threats of Violence from the Fan Base, of Our Special Guest/Support Act. In the Interest of Personal Safety. I will continue, The Songstress Tour, alone. Appropriate refunds will be made. Blessings. ABXO.”
The drama started when Babyface, who opens for Anita, showed up late one night and she politely asked him not to perform.
Babyface apologized to his fans for making them wait.

To make matters worse, Anita was 2 hours late hitting the stage herself.
Disappointed fans took to social media to demand refunds.
One fan wrote: “I am at the Anita Baker concert, it is 2 hours late!”

Another fan complained that she didn’t see Babyface perform and he was the reason she bought tickets to the show.
Others objected to Anita referring to the legendary singer/songwriter as her “supporting act” on her tour.

When the threats and bullying escalated, Anita begged Babyface to call off the dogs. She then booted him off her tour for the rest of the dates.
