Bill de Blasio is back on the market. The former mayor of New York City and his estranged wife Chirlane McCray announced their separation after 30 years of marriage.

McCray and de Blasio announced their split in a joint interview with The New York Times on Wednesday.

The couple said they had a heart-to-heart discussion about two months ago and they discovered they were not “lovey-dovey anymore.”

McCray and de Blasio said they are eager to move on with others.

“I just want to have fun,” said McCray — who was a lifelong lesbian when they met.

They said their marriage started to fall apart in 2020 during his run for the White House.

“I thought it was a distraction,” McCray said of de Blasio’s disastrous presidential campaign.

De Blasio, 62, admitted he had second and third thoughts about marrying a reformed lesbian.

“There was a part of me that would at times say, ‘Hmmm, is this like a time bomb ticking? Is this something that you’re going to regret later on?’ So I always lived with that stuff.”
