Tennessee Titans running back Hassan Haskins was arrested and charged with strangling girlfriend Makiah Green during an argument.
According to ESPN, Haskins and Green allegedly got into an argument on June 22 after Green “liked” another man’s Instagram photo.
Both were arrested on a pair of domestic violence charges on Thursday. Haskins was charged with felony aggravated assault by strangulation and felony vandalism.
Police say an enraged Haskins kicked in a door inside the couple’s home in Tennessee. He began choking Green after he noticed she liked the unnamed man’s Instagram photo.
Green faces an additional aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge.
Both were released on bond Thursday and ordered to stay away from each other, according to the Metro Nashville Police.
They are scheduled for a court appearance on July 10.
Haskins, a second year running back, was selected in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans.
