A woman was arrested in connection with the drug overdose death of Robert De Niro’s 19-year-old grandson Leandro De Niro Rodriguez. Leandro is pictured left with his mother, Drena De Niro, and Robert.

According to multiple news reports, drug dealer Sofia Haley Marks, 20, allegedly sold fentanyl-laced Percocet pain pills to Leandro who was found dead in a $1 million Wall Street apartment on July 2.

Marks was arrested around 6 p.m. Thursday during an undercover sting conducted by the NYPD in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Homeland Security.

Marks faces federal charges of narcotics distribution and will be arraigned in Manhattan federal court on Friday morning, per The NY Post.

Leandro’s mother, Drena De Niro, said, “Someone sold him fentanyl-laced pills that they knew were laced yet still sold them to him.”
