Wendy Williams’ ex-husband Kevin Hunter sold his Florida home for $1.2 million to pay off his growing financial debts.
Kevin, 51, was forced to put his house up for sale as his financial situation worsened. He originally purchased the 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom, 3,425 sq. ft. house for $795,600 in 2020.
Kevin and his common law wife, Sharina, moved from New Jersey to Florida months after his divorce from Wendy was finalized. Sharina gave birth to Kevin’s daughter in March 2019. Wendy filed for divorce a month later.
Kevin and Wendy are pictured during happier times on April 24, 2012 in New York City. In court documents, Kevin complained that his monthly alimony checks from Wendy stopped in early 2022.
“I have fallen behind on most of my bills. I currently live in a community that requires payments to the homeowners association and I’m behind on that bill. If the homeowners association fees are not paid foreclosure will soon follow,” he told a judge.
“My life has been greatly affected since the plaintiff stopped making payments under our settlement agreement.”
Wendy, 59, has been out of work since July 2021 after suffering mental health issues and medical problems.
Kevin and his son Kevin Hunter Jr. were cut off from Wendy’s money after a judge appointed a guardian to oversee her finances.
Wells Fargo froze Wendy’s bank accounts containing $3 million when her former accountant told bank officials she had dementia and was being taken advantage of by others who made unauthorized withdrawals.
Kevin scored a legal victory in New York recently when a judge ruled his $10 million lawsuit against Wendy’s former TV producers can move forward.
As RadarOnline.com first reported, Kevin sued the producers of The Wendy Show for wrongful termination. Kevin claimed the producers didn’t give him adequate reason for terminating his contract after Wendy filed for divorce.
