Mainstream media outlets rushed to defend Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Travis Kelce when his troublesome old tweets resurfaced online.

Sports Illustrated claims fans love how “wholesome” Kelce’s fat-shaming tweets are.

NBC News said Taylor Swift’s fans “are here for” Travis’s old tweets.

And People Magazine wrote: “Taylor Swift Fans Resurface Travis Kelce’s Wholesome Old Tweets.

One of Travis’s “wholesome” tweets pokes fun at plus-sized women.

“As a man, You have something wrong with you if your going for girls that weigh more than you!! [sic]”

The Kansas City Star dismissed the troubling aspects of Travis’s tweets because Taylor Swift’s fans love him.

Men who fat-shame women are usually raked over the coals. But Travis gets a pass because he’s dating pop singer Taylor Swift.

Only The New York Times criticized Travis: “Swifties Delight, Then Recoil, From Travis Kelce’s Old Tweets.”

Taylor Swift’s fans were quick to defend the 34-year-old wide receiver, saying he was an “immature” 21-year-old man when he wrote the tweets.

But others say Travis is an entitled bully who hasn’t changed a bit in 13 years.
