Steve Harvey let his wife Marjorie Harvey out of detention and allowed her to return to social media after she was accused of cheating on him with his bodyguard and chef.
According to Atlanta Black Star, Marjorie uploaded a full-body Instagram image of herself on Dec. 1, rocking a brown lingerie corset with a black-checkered Louis Vuitton sweatsuit – her ensemble for the first Louis Vuitton fashion show in Hong Kong.
“Congratulations @pharrell and @louisvuitton the show was incredible. Thank you all for hosting me in Hong Kong. @gayatri555 you are the best,” she wrote in the photo caption.
The rumors swirled last year, and picked up steam on Twitter/X in August with an added detail: Marjorie reportedly filed for divorce from Steve and was demanding $200 million in spousal support.
Steve addressed the rumors while speaking at the Invest Fest 2023 in Atlanta on Sunday, Aug. 27.
“Before I get started, just let me say, I’m fine. Marjorie’s fine,” Steve said, as the audience cheered.
“I don’t know what y’all doing, but find something else to do ’cause we fine. Lord have mercy. Man,” Steve said, expressing his frustration. “I ain’t got no time for rumors and gossip. God’s been good to me, I’m still shining.”
Steve accused Black bloggers of personally targeting his family.
“And then it’s the Black bloggers that’s the nastiest when it comes to all of us. And that’s the part I want to get at and then I’ma let it go — ’cause after today there will be no more.”
He described Marjorie as a “good woman. She’s the best thing ever happened to me. She’s God-fearing, she’s loyal, she’s faithful, and she’s a kind and loving person. I don’t care what nobody say — and y’all quit talking about she was in my other marriage and ruined it. She didn’t. She was nowhere around that. I got divorced in 2005. My marriage was over when the “Kings of Comedy” was out. Y’all ain’t know that though did you? It was over then.”
Despite the denials from both parties, the rumors weighed heavily on Steve’s mind. He reportedly suspected Marjorie was communicating with men in her DMs on Instagram.
To keep the peace, Marjorie logged off of Instagram for three months.
Steve addressed the rumors again during his co-host Shirley Strawberry’s personal “Strawberry Letter” segment in September.
Shirley apologized to both Steve and Shirley for discussing their private lives in a phone call with her incarcerated husband, Ernesto Williams, who is locked up in an Atlanta-area jail.
