Jonathan Majors sat down for his first interview since a Manhattan jury found him guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
Majors’ interview with ABC News Anchor Linsey Davis will air on Disney-owned ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Thursday, Jan. 11.
According to People.com, Davis will interview Majors on Monday, Jan. 8. Clips from the segment will air that day on “GMA3.”
A half-hour special on the interview will air on “Impact x Nightline” exclusively on Hulu Thursday, Jan. 11.
Majors, 34, was arrested and charged with assaulting his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari on March 25. After months of denials and counter accusations, Majors’ trial began in December. He was convicted on Dec 18 on a single charge of assault and harassment.
His sentencing is scheduled for February 6. He faces a maximum of 1 year in jail.
Immediately following his conviction, Disney/Marvel Studios dropped Majors from the Marvel MCU. Marvel is considering openly gay actor Colman Domingo as his replacement.
Majors’ attorney Priya Chaudhry was “grateful” for the not guilty verdicts on 2 additional charges.
“It is clear that the jury did not believe Grace Jabbari’s story of what happened in the SUV because they found that Mr. Majors did not intentionally cause any injuries to her. We are grateful for that,” Chaudhry said in a statement last month.
“We are disappointed, however, that despite not believing Ms. Jabbari, the jury nevertheless found that Mr. Majors was somehow reckless while she was attacking him.”
