A Miami judge granted rapper Kodak Black’s motion to dismiss his cocaine case.

Plantation, Florida police arrested Black on December 7, 2023 and charged him with cocaine possession.

An officer spotted the rapper asleep behind the wheel of a black Bentley SUV parked in the roadway.

The officer noted “a strong odor of burnt cannabis” was coming from the vehicle.

Additionally, he said that the rapper’s mouth was “full of white powder.”

The substance in Kodak’s mouth later tested positive for cocaine. However, a subsequent lab test identified the substance as oxycodone.

Black, legal name Bill Kapri, bonded out of jail on Dec. 16, but federal agents arrested him the same day for violating his probation.

Now Black faces one count of possession of oxycodone.

He is being held without bond at the Miami Federal Detention Center on federal charges.

Black’s lawyer Bradford Cohen (pictured) proved the rapper had a valid prescription for the pain killer.

Circuit Court Judge Barbara Duffy granted the motion to dismiss the case on Friday morning.

Cohen posted a copy of the judge’s order on his Instagram page.

He captioned the post:

“Motion to Dismiss #kodakblack new case for possession of “cocaine” that was actually oxycodone… GRANTED. I will leave that right here. We have moved to have his bond reinstated.”
