Rapper Lil Kim is being trolled on social media after she prayed for a monsoon to hit Los Angeles and bring much-needed rain amid the wildfires.

The 50-year-old rap legend took to Instagram on Jan. 14 and wrote: “#PrayForLA. Been sending strong prayers up for LA and everyone affected by the fires. This is heartbreaking. I pray to Jesus that God make it monsoon in LA.”

She posted the same message over on X (Twitter), where her followers clowned her for asking for rain. It seems her followers don’t know what a monsoon is.

A monsoon is a strong directional wind that brings heavy rain and sometimes flooding.

Lil Kim’s intentions were good, but social media users trolled her anyway. Poor Kim was forced to turn off her comments on Instagram.

One person wrote, “How can you Pray to Jesus for something you want God to do? You know they not the same person right?”

Another fan wrote: “ending one natural disaster with another one is crazy.”

A third person wrote: “It’s important to note that the high school Kim attended is no longer open. God is Good.”

Lil Kim then tweeted a definition of the word “monsoon” and an explanation.

“What’s happening is devastating and what LA really needs right now is rain — so what’s the issue? Doesn’t everyone understand that a monsoon is heavy rain? I’m so happy to see that everyone is staying so positive during such a tragic situation. Let’s keep praying and supporting,” she wrote.
