Lawyers representing Sean Combs have demanded Cassie Ventura’s financials to determine whether she received money to destroy his empire in 2023.
According to new legal documents obtained by TMZ, Sean’s legal team issued a subpoena on March 19, asking Cassie to turn over bank statements and “all draft memoirs, autobiographies, narratives, diaries, journals or notes … and any communications about plans to publish or threaten to publish such a document.”
The bank statements will show if Cassie deposited large sums of money in her bank account in the weeks or months before she filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against her former boyfriend in November 2023.

Prior to Cassie filing her lawsuit, her then-lawyer contacted Sean’s attorney on a recorded line, stating she had a book ready for publication and that Sean could stop its release if he paid an undisclosed sum of money.
Sean declined to pay the money. Soon after, Cassie switched law firms and retained attorney Douglas Wigdor in New York.
Wigdor told Sean that the book was “no longer important” because a civil sex abuse lawsuit would be filed in November 2023.
Sean quickly settled that lawsuit the next day, but it isn’t clear if Cassie ever received the $30 million settlement that she demanded from him.
Sean was arrested in New York in September 2024 on RICO trafficking and conspiracy charges. He is awaiting trial on May 5.
Cassie is expected to testify against him in court.
In related news, a federal judge denied Sean’s request to delay the trial for 2 months.
