NFL star Colin Kaepernick has plenty of time on his hands these days. Contract extension negotiations between the San Francisco 49ers and their star quarterback are at a standstill in light of his Miami troubles.
A Miami woman accused Kaepernick and his friends of having their way with her while she was under the influence of a sedative placed in her food or drink.
Meanwhile, Kaepernick’s contract negotiations have been put on hold.
They’re expected to remain that way until Miami police wrap up their investigation into an alleged incident involving the quarterback and two other NFL players, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports. That incident involves a woman who filed a police report saying she had no memory of how she wound up in a hospital after being with the players. Neither Kaepernick nor the other players have been accused or charged. Kaepernick strongly denied any wrongdoing in a tweet last week.
When talks were tabled, the two sides were not close, with Kaepernick seeking a deal commensurate with others who have taken a team to the Super Bowl. Source
