Reality TV star Erica Mena and former kiddie rapper Bow Wow, real name Shad Moss, are supposedly engaged to be married. Shad, 27, broke the news at the BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta this past weekend.
Just to show you how wacky the world of reality television is, Erica Mena was a practicing lesbian just a few months ago.
In my post, “Did Bow Wow Turn Erica Mena Straight?,” I told you the 26-year-old VH1 Love & Hip Hop: NY star was in a lesbian relationship with fellow cast member Cyn Santana.
Of course we all knew Erica and Cyn’s relationship was a figment of producer Mona Scott-Young‘s overactive imagination.
But how do we know Bow Wow and Erica’s engagement isn’t fake?
It’s clear from Shad’s past history that he has an unhealthy disrespect for women in general. He has never had a stable relationship with a woman that we are aware of. And a one night stand with a groupie resulted in the birth of his only child, a daughter whom he dotes on.
As for Erica, her romantic history includes both men and women — and that’s just in the past 12 months. Erica and manager Rich Dollaz (pictured below) were talking marriage last year.
With so much foot traffic in Erica’s bedroom, when did she and Shad find the time to get to know each other?
