The New England Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 in Super Bowl 49 on Sunday. Only one play stood between the favored Seahawks and their destiny as back-to-back Super Bowl champs. Then something strange happened; something that has never happened before in the annals of Super Bowl history when a team is on the 1-yard line with the best running back in the NFL in their backfield. Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson threw an interception instead of handing the ball off to Marshawn Lynch.
