in my experience, men don’t really start taking life seriously until their mid to late 30s. they may love you before that but they don’t really even begin appreciating you in that ossie davis/ruby dee way til then. prior to that, u gotta be wife, sidechick, momma and every other woman in their life in order to maintain the relationship. a lot of wives won’t admit it, but there’s a certain amount of mothering you do in the beginning of a marriage just to get shyt running smoothly.

But I really am I’m the one that stopped talking to her. Her depression is still very very very real. And I got tired of her comparing my life to hers. (In the sense that she seemed jealous of my success.) Long story short, during the time that we were talking her father passed and she promised him that she would start living instead of existing. So she asked me to be her travel buddy. This is trip 3 of 3 and I’m happy it’ll be over. (We booked them all at the same time so I was stuck) But I really realized that she may never be happy.

Kimi that was the same issue with my girls donor and I. He still hasn’t grown up and he is now 36 with another child. I spent many years waiting for him to get right and not dating, on again off again yada yada yada. It didn’t pan out. He’s the type that lives off the chick he’s with and can’t get anything on his own. He needs a mama. When I finally let it go it all came together for me. I got my credit (that in my foolishness I ruined messing with him) right, financial blessings came my way, got an advanced degree, and found the right man when I wasn’t even looking. in my experience, men don’t really start taking life seriously until their mid to late 30s. they may love you before that but they don’t really even begin appreciating you in that ossie davis/ruby dee way til then. prior to that, u gotta be wife, sidechick, momma and every other woman in their life in order to maintain the relationship. a lot of wives won’t admit it, but there’s a certain amount of mothering you do in the beginning of a marriage just to get shyt running smoothly.

Cosign- I’m just not built for it either. and to see how young some of the girls be here (I’m tryna tell a story without telling what I do exactly) but we have certain days that we dedicate in the OR for cases such as this.
