Two brothers of reality TV star Antonia “Toya” Wright were shot in a drive-by early Sunday morning, police confirmed.
Rudy and Josh Johnson were shot just after midnight on Sunday, July 31, as they sat in a car in New Orleans’ 7th Ward.
Both men were shot multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene, nola.com reports.
About an hour later, a man was gunned down in the Seabrook neighborhood of New Orleans East.
Police believe the murder cases are linked, but they are not releasing any information on the cases.
Wright reportedly received the news of her brothers’ tragic deaths while onstage at an event in Atlanta.
The 32-year-old mother-of-one is the ex-wife of rap mogul Li’l Wayne, 33, and the mother of his eldest daughter Reginae Carter, 17.
Wright divorced Wayne in 2006 after 2 years of marriage.
Rudy and Josh made appearances in the BET reality shows ‘Toya: A Family Affair’ and ‘Tiny and Toya’.
Wright, who was especially close to her brother Rudy, expressed her grief for both brothers on Instagram.com.
Rudy’s girlfriend is reportedly pregnant with his baby.
Tameka and her estranged husband Clifford “Tip” Harris, Jr., aka T.I., were among Wright’s celebrity friends posting condolences on social media.
T.I. caught flack from his social media followers when he urged social justice activists Black Lives Matter to make black-on-black crime a top priority in addition to protesting police brutality.
T.I. tweeted, “For us to really have an argument in the BLM movement WE MUST show that Black Lives Matter to Us!!

The misguided miscreants on Black Twitter reacted with anger and indignation at T.I.’s suggestion that they show Black lives really do matter by protesting black on black crime, too.
