A message to meddling moms from a Catholic high school in Little Rock, Arkansas, has gone viral on Facebook.com.
The message posted on a door at Catholic High School for Boys instructs moms to “TURN AROUND and exit the building” if they are bringing their sons’ forgotten lunch, books, homework, etc.
The school captioned the image: “Welcome to Catholic High. We teach reading, writing, arithmetic, and problem-sovling”.
‘Your sons will learn to deal and problem-solve without your meddling’ seems to be the message the school is sending to mothers who refuse to let their sons be men.
The image has been shared on Facebook.com more than 115,000 times since it was posted Aug. 10.
Most of the comments have been supportive and favorable.
Parents believe the school is doing the right thing by separating boys from their moms who insist on coddling them during the school day.
“Sorry, the school is correct,” wrote Facebook user Barbara Bowers. “If someone cannot remember their lunch, it will only happen once. They will learn to be a responsible adult and hopefully pass on the trend to their children as well.”
“If only ALL schools were like this,” wrote commenter Barb Shear.
This type of hands-off approach to parenting is very necessary — especially in the black community where single mothers tend to treat their sons like little boyfriends or girlfriends.
Agreed…BUT my parents brought my lunch if I forgot SO…I can’t talk lol
Lord… even as an adult I have to remind my mom I’m on my own. She’ll make plans and get upset when I dont want to go thru with them.
I have to hollar, “I’m not your man!”
Are they only specifically talking about boys? Is this an all boys school? So many questions.
I get the point, but what kind of sneaky business they got going on in this school. ?
Jesus be a grammar book.
I agree with with concept, I have met boys that are 16 years old and has never cut grass. These mothers are raising these boys to be pansies.
Kids nowadays have a ton of Pressure on them. So do parents.
If my kid forgot his lunch…I’m bringing his lunch
My kid gonna eat today!
Problem-solve THAT!!
Well I ate the school lunch. It was good hot and terrible. I survived.
Eh guess it depends on if where you live has grass…out of all the cities I’ve lived…nan had grass lol
You don’t think that maybe she gets disappointed if plans with you fail, because she simply wants to spend time with you?
There were many of days I forgot things many of days. However, my Mom and Dad would not come up to the school.
They need to bring prayer back in the school.
Accountability and responsibility, I can dig it.
I wish someone would tell me I can’t bring my child some food or whatever. This is getting out of hand. I control my children’s well being so I guess we would have to go somewhere else.
I understand what the school is trying to do but I don’t totally agree. Now with home work, maybe but lunch them babies got to eat. Now when problem solving goes wrong and little Timmy is crying because Bobby figured out a way to solve his problem by taking Timmy’s lunch then there’s another problem. Now Timmy got to problem solve now and didn’t even do nothing. LMBO!!!!!! I can see it now Timmy in the corner cheeks rosy red from crying because he’s hungry as heck! Poor little Timmy
And the fathers do a great job, right?
I draw the line at food. I forget my lunch sometimes but I still find me something to eat and everyone forget things even the people that made these rules.
I agree and I like it. My son would often forget things and he just had to learn to be more responsible…if it important, they will get it. He was in the 2nd grade at the time.
By high school, we will be on it!
I should add that he went to a small xtian school. There were time when dad was in court and mom was in session and we just could not get away.
But that’s because you didn’t make them do it right?
Right, so they don’t want the parents to pop up at the school huh? I guess father Walter will help with the problem solving huh? Nope not one time…I smell something fishy going on. Let’s revisit this story in a few months.
That school is not going to let the kids starve – trust me. No school would!
Y’all do know these are high schoolers they’re talking about. Most boys in high school seldom pack a lunch.
Yes some schools don’t allow a child to eat lunch if they have unpaid lunch bills. Crackers and peanut butter is not enough.
Ew those frozen peanut butter and jelly ice cream sandwiches lol
It’s the truth…it’s the one thing I kinda agree with Trump on is that America has raised a generation of wusses. I think all males in this country should spend one year in required military training. There is something about men today that I just don’t like — they are too dayum soft, except when they are dealing with women, then they turn into G’s.
How old are the boys? This bothers me….deeply. How would a child problem solve not having a lunch? Idk… people forget ish.
Can’t even take out the trash! Just lazy….
They’ll probably get a dry azz peanut butter & jelly sandwich. ?
I love it! I believe my son’s school had the same rule about popping in to drop off lunch or homework. They didn’t allow it.”Your son will learn to problem solve in your absence.” Talk about teaching lessons that can be used in real life. Amazing.
EWWWWWW…
Yes, it’s an all male school.
not true – they may give them something that is not on the menu – like a cold sandwich, and most school don’t serve PB&J due to allergies.
I feel you… alot of countries require military service in their country.
What the problem is?
They’re HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, right? If I didn’t remember my lunch, school work or money in HIGH SCHOOL, momma sure wasn’t leaving her job to save me.
I know, right! A bunch of wussies who got out of being drafted 4 times or have their careers started by a small business loan of $1M from his father. Rooty poo candy azzes!
Yes, many other countries do. I wonder how America would fare in a ground war if another country invaded us…it makes me shudder.
lol…yeah, I’m talking about they azzes, too!
My son school gives them crackers and peanut butter. There was a lot of that kind of thing in the news last yr and parents were very upset about it. Some lunch ladies can be mean. I had one tell me that they can’t eat lunch. I make sure my son has lunch money. Google some articles about it.
You cannot tell a parent what to drop off. You can only tell them they can’t go to a classroom within an appointment. Let them leave it at the front office. This school is doing too much.
My azz was just outta luck. Betta not even call to ask once I was in high school.
I can agree with this. I forgot stuff as a child and my folks were not bringing me what I needed. I better figure it out. The lunch ladies and teachers never met me go hungry either.
High school which is old enough. I never needed my mom to come to school because I forgot something. First off the curse out ain’t worth it and the follow up curse out that she’s missing work because I wasn’t responsible isn’t worth it. Get your child off the nipple.
Homework, books yes I agree but lunch nope I’m bringing it and if you tell me I can’t bring my child lunch we will have problems. These young people have dietary restrictions and school lunch is also fudging TERRIBLE so if they made it and forgot it I’m bringing it! I will not let mines go hungry or be forced to BUY lunch at school that they don’t really want to or will mess up their stomach. This is too much of you don’t want them to bring homework or books have them drop off with administrative assistant and pickup there after class and have to go back to teacher after school to workout turning it in then with penalty points.
Yeah…this is HIGHSCHOOL. They asses gone learn today!
These are life lessons – it’s bigger than forgetting lunch, Furhermore, it is a distraction.
the only way I see a compromise is if lunch pails are left at the cafeteria office, and the kids can go look for them at lunch time – other than that – go to yoga class, mom!
Mine, too. Next time I bet my hawngry azz wouldn’t forget it. lol
Meh. I can see both sides. On one hand I don’t want my child getting an F, on the other hand where does it end? Truth be told, reason so many kids unorganized because so are the parents?
So you’re agreeing with the agenda of a hypocrite. That’s solid.
There’s one of those living next to me right now. His mama pays for the grass to be cut! If she was nice and hadn’t thrown paint on my house and liquor bottles in my yard, I’d have sent my son over to cut her grass, but she’s triflin and raising a triflin spoiled kid. She’s so foul, there’s a space of dirt/weeds between our driveways. It’s not mine. It’s on that house’s property line. This weekend she had her grass cutters cut HALF of it, then tromped across my driveway yesterday with her 2 little girls with bare legs, and they had to maneuver through those weeds she told the people not to cut.SMH.
Homework neither! Pack your backpack at night!
I agree. They will get a peanut butter sandwich and milk.
Chile, the earful I got won’t worth it. She be like that’s your F. Bye.
what a bitch – her, not you!
This! If I missed the school bus, my mama was not going to take me. She had to go to work. The few times she did take me, I’d get fussed out the whole drive to school.
Exactly
You have taken my comment way out of context, so…good day to you.
I was so spoiled. Mama Butter took me to school and picked me up everyday until I was in 11th grade. I loathed riding the bus. If I packed the wrong socks for cheer, I’d call her and ask her to bring them. If it didn’t take her 15 minutes to swing by the house, drop them off, and get back to work, it would’ve been a different story though.
She really is. I’ve been cool to her. Threw the liquor bottle in the recycling instead of back in her yard. She was fussing with the gate one day, talking about calling the property manager so I handed her some WD-40, and this is what I get in return lol.
my son is 8 – it pains me to see him struggling to mow the lawn but he does it, with the help of his dad. I just make sur ethey have safety glasses and water….. (see, this is called the helicopter effect – low key)
Now weed wacking – THE BOY LOVES IT!
You called it a lunch pail… Yeah I’m sorry your opinion is invalid lolol times have changed since your days on the prairie
Lol what do you call em then?
Last yr my son forgot something once that yr . My mom went up to the school for me but she wasn’t happy and we both told him get his things ready the night before. If the kids leave their lunch at home the parents should be able to bring it.
My doorter got her whole tray of food taken by the lunch lady ? I gave her a check to pay, but she’s forgetful & a procrastinator. That lunch lady said tuh you gonna learn today. ?
Chile…this…these boys nowadays don’t want to get up early, clean the bathroom, cook for themselves, ..they are supposed to be MEN of our future…the woman can’t teach a boy to be a man…and some men don’t stick around to raise them to pee standing up…it’s all ass backwards…
If I need to bring something to my kid’s school in order for him to pass a class or whatnot, I’m bringing it.
BTW, I am NOT shocked this type of thing was posted at a catholic school. Aren’t they they same folks who believe the pope is Christ on earth and that a PRIEST can absolve you from any sins? SMH YEAH OK
Lunchbox lunch bag
When my son was in grade and middle school, if they forgot their lunch, the school would give them an “emergency lunch”, which was a sandwich, milk, and IDK what else. Same if they didn’t have any more $ on their lunch books lol.
a lunch box.. the lunch pail is from the prairie days when lunch was actually carried in a metal fishing pail with a cloth napkin covering it
I did too…..and it was free.
LOL – we miss you on the farm! Lunch bag? satchel? What? I’m in Oklahoma…
Doesnt spending time with me includes me being there?
She’ll plan something I dont want to do (after I said I didnt want to do it), and get upset if it doesnt pan out.
Talk about getting much cursed out the entire ride. ?
Exactly!! I don’t have kids but I think some people are giving the system to much power. Don’t get me wrong I understand the message but heck even as an adult I forget things. They’re telling parents how to raise their kids and what to instill and what not to do but they can beat them, shoot them, kill and rape them. I don’t know maybe I’m going to deep with this but it’s crazy to me.
Girl my son missed his bus last yr and I called a cab for him. My mom said not this time. The people in the office got a good laugh that day. I showed him I wasn’t playing. He hasn’t missed the bus since.
Yep. That’s what my son’s schools did.
I can get with this for High School kids. Had to teach the lil Lurks this a few times. No I’m not bringing your gym shoes. I bet after walking round the gym the whole class period in her “cute” shoes til her feet started to burn, she didn’t ‘forget’ them shyts again.
It’s has to stop. Lurk21 still testing me, talking about he forgot to pay his cell phone bill (one of the only bills he’s required to pay while in school). I told him to take them new $200 sneakers that he remembered to buy and walk to find a pay phone till he gets paid again.
If I missed the bus, Lord help me. I don’t think I missed the bus that much at all.
SO uncalled for
Lol @ your days on the prairie.
I know that’s right.
CANDY ASSES???
Saddle down moms ???
How else they gonna learn? ?
Exactly!!
Right! They remember WATT THEY WANT TEW ?
Did you pay it though? Lol
This is why fathers are needed. ??
????
?
Can’t have him untraceable ?
Too much.
I told you they can be nasty. I tried to be nice to his lunch lady in case he may need a lunch.
Everybody forgets something SOMETIMES. I’ve forgotten my work laptop at least twice in my career… carried myself on up to IS to ask for one to use for the day.. it happens to the best of us.
Chile I failed a class cause I wrote my essay a week before it was due and forgot to turn that sucka in the next week (it was an online class)
I crack up whenever I see someone cutting one of my ? Up???
That’s cold blooded. I couldn’t be a lunch lady. I couldn’t take away someone’s food just to put it in the trash nor do I have a beard.
Hell naw. He convinced lurk10 to let him borrow hers. Shyt a old a$$ Windows phone. And it’s pink. Bet he pays his phone bill tomorrow.
Cuz he know Lurk21 ain’t Finna to take them shoes back?
Oh my GOD sis we SOOOOOOOO get this.
Umm Can I speak to Jussie Jr. NOPE call back next week he busy.
Peanut Butter? My son’s elementary school sent out a letter when a student with a peanut allergy started there, saying not to send anything remotely related to peanuts. How sad.
????
I like it!!!
Bless Mama Butter’s loving heart! My Mama didn’t give a fugg! I remember waking up late for the preSAT in 9th or 10th grade… Luckily, there were 2 tests scheduled & I was able take the later one, but the cussing out I got for making her late to her hair appointment – sheeit!!!
QOTD: What age y’all getting your babies a phone? Rising 6th won’t be home alone, so does that factor.
We all do. It’s inevitable. The focus is having your parent bail you out. Work it out
You came ready today.
That’s my point. They want too much control over all of us if you ask me.
I draw the line at medicine. A couple hours without food will make you remember not to forget. Shat, they’ll figure it out, borrow some lunch money from a friend like we used to do back n the day. These boys are in HS, not 1st grade.
We crack up every single time my doorter tells that story. ?
We lived in a super small town that’s about 6 square miles. If we lived in a larger city, I’m sure my stories would be very different.
Get it and get all the bells and whistle to Block everything.
Jussie Jr. had once since 4th or 5th grade. It was the MOST basic phone ever.
One time I walked up the street and the bus passed right by me! I had to run two blocks to make sure I didn’t miss it….I was not going to get fussed out that day ??.
………..
They are so not talking to me. Lil Spill already know…you better have it together or else. My parents were the same way. I used to think it was cool/cute for parents to bring forgotten items to the school…so I tried it…tuh…lets just say it didn’t work out as planned. My mama straight told me “oh well, I bet you’ll remember next time.” I love her for that. *tear*
Lesson learned on his behalf.
Ahhh. Just wait, before too long, your lawn is going to look like it was moved by a professional. When my son first started, it wasn’t great, like when I started, but now he has the lines down like I like.
I told Lil Butter he can get one when he can afford the bill. Realistically, I think 6th or 7th grade.
My mama would have me ready to jump out the car early so I wouldn’t have to hear it.
IF they need it to pass? ???
#fail
Exactly. First off my mom was notorious for sucking her teeth followed by a dial tone. No ma’am.
Sometimes kids needs to fail toung(not at big things of course) but that will teach them so much?
BUTT EYE NO YEW already know this ????
The focus is we all forget there isn’t an age when “you’re old enough”. Having your parent or in my case IS bail you out isn’t a big deal for a rare occurrence.
If we weren’t ready for church on time, she would peel off. I walked out to the driveway one Sunday and she was gone. It’s not like I wanted to go to church anyway. She did me a favor ??.
I get it I guess. However, I’m here for random pop up visits. This looks as if they are trying to discourage parents (mom) from visiting the school. Nah, I wanna see eh’ting!
I thought I was the only person that would hang up on my kids. ??
Remember once in 7th grade, I didn’t pack my “pail” on time. I had to throw my entire lunch in their and fix it later…FA real
It was turkey bread, Cheetos, just damn scattered. It really bothered me, cause my sandwich must be prepared in a consistent appropriate manner.
I make my son eat breakfast in the morning and I give him lunch money but I have sent his dad to the school to take him food. He only forgot it once so it’s no big deal to me. I do have a problem with him if he misses the bus because I can’t leave my job to take him.
Christmas 2010, so he would have been in 7th grade, and I know that’s way late to some folks. My son was walking home from school, which is why I did it.
Its highschool..kids should know better. My oldest is about to turn 10 and I tell her the night before make sure you have everything together the night before. Clothes out, lunch packed, homework checked folders signed the night before…If children have a routine they wont forget anything…im not looking forward to school starting because I cant stand checking homework and signing folders….?
Nahh, this is how these all boys school operate. They are trying assist you for the MONEY you paying. running to their every need is not the business and if something goes wrong, your child needs to tell you. I agree with the policy.
On another note there admission applications will soar.
Now that was one thing Mama Butter wasn’t lenient about. I better be to church and be there on time. I messed around and got left one Sunday. I had to call up my friend to swing by and pick me up.
How does this look like theyre discouraging parents from visiting? The letter is plain and simple and encourages moms to let their children problem solve.
pizza and salad and sugar cookies were my fave
The cuss out ??? is no joke…
In 9th grade I forgot my project board and she had it messengered up to the school. And this was in early 90.
1st and last time. It wasn’t worth it. She gave me hail for about 2 yrs about that
Chile
or
Chile’
?????
Girl be quiet, this topic is about mettling mothers and how they are stepping in the way inhibiting their sons problem solving skills. Fathers when they are around don’t do that. Stay on topic. Ur inhibiting my staying on topic skills.
I’m super impatient when I’m picking someone up. If you’re not standing outside or at the door waiting I might leave you. I’ve done that to my kids numerous times. They think I’m crazy. ? #BeReady
She need the D… LOL!
In mid sentence?
Mines had me scared to call ??
Lilmissy MIGHT get one this year, 5th grade. But the basic phone only. We have a house phone for when she comes home after school alone. If she forgets her key, which is rare (happened twice in 2 years), she calls from the school office and let’s me know.
I had one in 7th…big ol giant phone lol…only reason is because the school wouldn’t let you use the phone so my momma said hell naw take this
Why did I chuckle really HARD
I swear Lil Butter has been on the same routine since he started pre-k. He’s now in 3rd grade, so WHY do I have to remind him to wash his face each and every morning?
All the littles have had one since about 5th grade. The first ones were all basic as shyt, And I’m known for a random 2am phone check, whilst you sleep. And if that shyt locked, or I not know the code….. I now have an extra phone till you know how to properly use it per MY guidelines.
Just an example…. It can be taking out the trash or cleaning up after himself…. These boys are being raised to be princesses
Right. This ain’t no delivery drop off spot.
They gotta hire a Whole Person to be dropping off forgotten shatt to classes. Disruptive.
Candy Asses ????
They do it all the time. I couldn’t be that cruel either. It’s just food. I have gotten a call from a lunch lady telling me I had a bill that needed to be paid and she wanted to make sure he could eat. I said forget it you will bring you lunch or buy it. Sometime I forget to pay lol.
I don’t think we are speaking on the same perspective. My point is if the school put this sign up then it happens daily. We all forget because we are human so that’s not lost on me. What I don’t understand is having your parent bail you out daily for silly things not school related. Not school related I don’t understand. No biggie.
I had no way of getting there. The church bus pick up folks early so that was out of the question. If i missed the morning service, she’d make me go in the evening ?
Also I’m understanding so if it’s a rare occurrence then the sign nor my comment is towards you because it’s rare.
Those Nuns and other staff are tired of those overbearing moms and their wimpy kids.
Because yew know I’m Ignant and yew redit in my voice ?????
My daughter is going to the 5th grade we just got her a phone only because she will be riding a bus to school that is 40 mins away and I would like to text her.
That’s what I made my son do, and when he’d have a missing assignment, I’d be on him like “Didn’t I tell you to pack your backpack last night?” There were so many times he’d then find the homework in the backpack after the fact, because it was there all along. He just doesn’t pay close enough attention, and to me, missing assignments were completely unacceptable. IDC if he claimed he “lost it”. To me a missing assignment is an assignment that just wasn’t done.
Lol I had a PAIL…with spiderman on it (yea tomboy)…one of those plastic snap kind lol
You would have a point if mothers made children by themselves. Seeing as though it takes two, then you can’t just shift all of the responsibility to the mother. It should be up to the fathers to show boys how to be men and not pansies. Turn your friggin brain on.
??
??
I’ve been affiliated with the military for many years, military training does not prevent a man from being a wuss.
The ninny my grandma called it!
I can’t have a man or son around me that does nothing while I do everything. Uh uh nobody is going to rest if I can’t.
Exactly!
Yep I’m sure it happens daily but not to the same kid. When you have hundreds of, maybe even a thousand students, and only 270 days of school… yes it will happen daily.
I grew up with a guy who mother spoiled him rotten when he turned 15 his dad finally stepped in and said enough and told him he will have to work around the house to get the things he want, well he got his father pistol and killed him. The mother spoiled him so bad that he just refused to do anything. Now imagine if he became a husband or a dad. This dude was always emotional and fighting just one big mess.
*takes yur Lunch Pail*

Lil Butter ate the “free lunch” a couple of days, because he was buying treats everyday, so his lunch money didn’t last as long as I had anticipated. When I asked why he didn’t let me know he needed lunch money his answer was, ” *shrug* I like PB&J sandwiches.” He’s such a booger.
All these kids claim they have asthma and allergies if asked to cut the grass. Probably allergic to work and chores of any kind.
Prayer was never removed from school. Anyone can pray wherever he or she wants. The problem was with prayer assembly because Christianity was usually the prayer of choice, excluding the many other faiths.
Yes my sis and I was too…we turned out all right…I think lol
*phew* Thank goodness for evening service. GMBC only has one service. I best have my behind on the second pew when devotional starts at 10:30. HAHAHA..
The school is there to teach – they should leave raising and teaching of life lessons to the parents and for the parents who feel that the school is correct you are just passing your duties off on someone else and being very LAZY. Accidents happen unless you are Jesus or God and if not trust and believe they will happen.
Beginning mid it doesn’t matter
That was about two yrs ago. A lot of these kids do have allergies so they may give the a cold sandwich but it’s nothing from the lunch menu for sure, I was shocked myself when they told me that.
Nope my mom was og phone banger ?
Hahaha. I don’t know if I could be placed in the “aight” category. I could’ve turned out much worse though, so that’s a minor victory, right?
Lady leave me alone. That’s not what this post is about.
Yes chile he gets nervous when I go off lol.
Exactly…
True I’ve seen it myself….but we can help a few can’t we? Lol
You will do that until they are in 8th or 9th. My son learned by 5th or 6th. He would wake up make it oatmeal, be dressed and be like lets get on the move. : )
Your ass learned to be responsible. Lesson learned. We all have these stories but it’s one story because we learned
Got it from a Rose below. HA HA
That’s my I LOVE YOU ????? ????? ????? ????? ?????
I agree but unfortunately a lot of parents pass their duties on to the school staff and it’s not fair. Kids should be ready to learn once they sit in that chair. No talking back and no disrespect.

Y’all see DWade #sogonechallenge? ?? Gabby retweeted it and said this what happens when I go to the bathroom.
And they knew! With just how nervous thee beginning of the convo starts off ???
Lol lol
Few and far between?
I haven’t seen it….
Gabby ain’t ready for her Chgo competition ???
DEAD…so true…I know I’m not getting out there cutting no grass…my asthma WOULD flare up
I thought it was good. I liked Keke Palmer’s too.
I listened to a little of it. It wasn’t bad. I didn’t know his mother was a fiend.
Well at first I thought this was a bit harsh, but then I re-read HIGH SCHOOL… Yeah they don’t need their mothers doing all that. They gone learn today!
My luv yew tew ???
My son had some papers laid out on my bed when I got out of the shower this morning and I calmly reminded him that I don’t have time to look over papers to sign in the morning. It will get done this evening.
I can honestly say I didn’t take out the trash until I was 26 years old and lived on my own for the first time. My parents or bf did it before then. Yes I was ashamed…
Good Snick Snacks???
Exactly the situation must’ve gotten completely out of control if they had to put this sign up.
Yup!
Yup!
Agreed…even my daddy spoils my nephew so much. Got him saying I can’t do it…. according to my mother that’s me though so I don’t know lol. Said that should have been my child…

So KEY points in this post:
1. (and the most important one) HIGH school
2. forgotten lunch, books, homework, etc
In HIGH school, you are essentially preparing yourself for ADULTING…Imma need you to NOT require your momma to bring in the items listed in Number 2. I wish my children would have. After elementary school, I wasn’t even waking them up for school, they got up on their own (except for the youngest….he needed prodding). I would have been damned if in HIGH school I am bringing the things YOU KNOW YOU NEED to the school for you. Once in a while, if I know you were rushing…SURE!! But don’t get used to it. Either packed up all that stuff at night or get up earlier to make sure you have everything.
To coddle a HIGH schooler is a big disservice to them and you failed as a parent for preparing them for LIFE!!

How could I take your comment out of context when you’re agreeing with the wussiest of wussies? Trump himself draft dodged and started his company with a “small” business loan of his father. I don’t think Trump has any room to call anyone a wussy.

I deal with coddled adults every day. I want to slap their mammys and their pappys for raising such a minimally useful individual.
Razed by Wolves! ???????
I lub you for this. This is needed ???
True, but Miami already had the groupie reputation so she knew how to prepare.
You wrong for that lol.
Let me say this: kids remember what they want. If I tell Zoe9 that we going to the movies December 5, he will remember. If ask did he brush his teeth today…
I died ?
The wolves would have made them work at least. These people think the world owes them something.
Yes ?
Yup unless something wrong with em
Welp I would be offended because….LOL!
Some do…
#FAIL
I was screaming!
I bet them mom’s didn’t forget their cellphones. Them same boys gonna be in mom’s basement at 45 years old.
If that’s what you call “meddling”, it’s a good thing no one will ever call you mom.
Yup sadly
I heard some mothers be on job interviews with their sons ?? no lie!!!
Women are sexist. I get tired of when a woman is alone with the kids woman say she is PARENTING. But if the father is alone with the kids women say he is BABYSITTING until the mom, the real parent comes home. We say we want the men involved but we get territorial and dilute their rule as meaningless.Men don’t babysit they take care of the kids just like women do.
Is her name Maxine? Because that sounds just like my mom. Lol?
Always mad when they hear the word NO?
My brother in law was a coddled child and a coddled adult…he just got fired for putting his head down and sleeping on security job. His excuse to his boss was he was tired and only had his head down for 2 mins boss was like get ya ish and gtfoh…26 year old over grown child and mama’s boy.
Get out of my head!! ?
I seen it…grown ass man getting driven to work by his elderly momma
I had to say something on this man who’s wife went on vacation by herself and had his 90 year old momma washing his clothes. Told him I’d be damned if my close to death momma washed any of mines YOU should be washing hers! He sat there looking crazy…
Why must they do this?!
A woman can teach him to be RESPONSIBLE. That has nothing to do with gender. I will not go through labor pains giving birth to a son and then look at him and say because he us male I can’t raise him to be a responsible human being and let him have his way because of that. No ma’am.
They can pray all day. But if it is not in their hearts/minds to do the right thing, it does no good.
Sigh…
??????? girl. Thank. You.
Trump really. When his kids are raised by nannies and his punk behind had 5 deferments for a heel spur to keep from going to war but played sports in college. He could have gotten some green alcohol, Epsom salt and soak those feet like the rest of us and kept it moving. His son can go to Africa to go big game hunting to kill an elephant but will not sign up to go to war to fight for this country.
Lulu daddy tried the same thing when we first got married. My Nana had a stroke and I had get to her. Called the hubby after I landed and heard all these voices in the back ground. He talking about “Momma here to hold the house down while you’re away” I cursed his ass slap da fuq out!!! I told him if he didn’t get that woman out of my house lol
I approve this message!
Lol shiit…like he can’t survive a week or two on his own. But I guess it depends on what time period you come from. My dad has slowly learned over the years how to survive on his own…hell still is especially now that my mother is sick. My mom said my dad’s food is better than hers sometimes lol. But men my age have no excuse…
No…not letting him have his way bc we are women that’s not what I’m saying..from being a new born to adolescent years u can instill responsibility in our son’s. But after that point their should be a STRONG MALE around to help raise him up…forget about this new concept of letting your child become what they want…children need positive influences, Men are supposed to take care of the family unit…but it’s all twisted now…

They do not get it! They gotta get that/this crap from home! IMB of course ??
Yup at least he’s willing to change AND learn…ain’t too many men out there willing to do it. He’s a keeper…
Our men are wearing our dresses now, shopping side by side with us in the shoe department and buying the same Brazilian hair in the beauty supply store as us. Forget about leaving for another woman. What if he dies what am I suppose to do. Say I can’t do it. it’s called being a parent doing the best you can. There are a lot of boys in foster care and they don’t care if a man or woman adopts them they just want to be loved. I see a lot of fathers on television when their son commits a crime crying the same tears as women because they have done the best they can. These kids need to learn PERSONAL responsibility and their are consequences for your actions. A woman can teach them that as well.
I see what you’re saying for the most part. I’m not saying bringing in the lunch, books, etc. If that’s their policy, we would have to accept or take him out. I’m saying something totally not even in the notice. Like literally popping up at the school. After a certain age its probably not necessary but that also depends on how much trust you have.
Also wanted to add that not all boys schools are like this. Unless they have changed in the last two years, I stand corrected.
Clearly SOMETHING is wrong here ????????
My daughter is taking her ninth grade brother a pair of shorts in the next hour or so for tonight’s game.
Did you see that I said I agreed with your comment about draft-dodgers having to serve, too? I understood your point that the wealthy tend to skirt their responsibilities. I get it. I get that generally speaking, Trump’s viewpoints are disturbing. But I don’t believe in “vilifying” people who don’t believe in absolutes (i.e., to label EVERYTHING about a person as bad because we disagree with the majority of things about them). I am a critical thinker, and can separate the things I agree with from those I don’t. Just as I LIKED your original response to me because I understood what you were saying.
Aren’t you making a bit of a leap from forgetting homework, lunch or something else for school to not having any responsibilities around the house?
Yes I see your point.. My son attended a boys school just shy of 6 months. THANK GOD he is done. : ) But when they get to high school and think it’s not necessary. Preschool, elementary….and middle yes.
A woman can teach responsibility and consequence…That’s what I agreed with in my response…I’m “old school”…and I STILL believe Men need to take a active role in raising these young boys into healthy MEN..
Cut grass, shovel snow, take out the trash or wash clothes. I could not imagine raising a man that knows how to do absolutely nothing but eat and play video games. Men like that are no use to a woman and God forbid she gets pregnant and needs his help around the house. My father use to sat “a man that does not know how to use his hands, is worthless.” He knew how to do home improvement, work on cars and had a bomb government career. The men today are too soft. They want to be in the nail shop and spa with you.
What cities don’t have grass?
She should ask first is what I think you are getting at
You didn’t like it? My husband went to private school like my brother. They both had horror stories. My cousin went to school with my brother and thought it was OK. My sisters went public. My MIL was deep in her feelings when we decided to put our child in public school. Some parents like it and some don’t. I just went by the school system, people whose been there, and what I understood.
OT There’s a public school that just created a rule that dreads, mohawks, afros, braids, and another style are no longer allowed.
Chile…
I saw that…
I went to private school for a bit…if I hadn’t I wouldn’t have learned to read my mother said. She took me out because of their insane rules. But hell with this transgender stuff public aunt no better now…
Mine will be going to private school though…
Damn near all of AZ lol…it’s the desert…I’ve lived in Boston…you could shovel snow I guess…San Diego…I lived downtown so no grass…LA area had no grass…Bay area has no grass…
My hometown has grass but I don’t count it cause I hate it and I was forced to live there lol
Excellent.
I agree with some mothers treating their sons like boyfriends. Even some of the basketball mothers of professional players come off like this. Just saw a recent magazine photo shoot that was looking really crazy.
BUT THEY WILL FORGET THEIR POCKET BOOKS WHEN THE SCHOOL NEEDS DONATIONS OR THOSE MEDDLING MOMS HAVE ENROLLED THEIR BOYS SOMEWHERE ELSE AND THE SCHOOL HAS NO MONEY TO STAY OPEN. I UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY ARE TRYING TO DO BUT YOU GOTTA BE CAREFUL HOW YOU TALK TO THE PEOPLE WHOSE MONEY KEEPS YOUR SCHOOL OPEN AND PAYING YOUR SALARIES. VERY THIN LINE HERE………JENNY JONES!!!
?????
And if I say No she shouldnt get so offened and take it personally against her.
I love both my daughters to no end but I will NOT be bringing your H.S. age behind lunch, gym clothes, homework etc. You goin’ to learn today!
What about the daughters? Does this apply? #goLawyer uppppp
It’s a boys school
Lol we can’t step on Ju’s bus nor the school til after Labor Day and it’s been good for him. He loves the new school.
Wow! Is that a school rule or a personal choice? I like it!
Did you see Kountry Wayne’s ?
As a parent of a high school sophomore, I totally agree. I’m constantly reminding my daughter she has to be ready for the real world in just a few short years.
Completely agree. I’m a school nurse and these parents don’t understand they are actually hindering their child. One momma came to the school for a damn splinter…and took him home for the rest of the day. I said she just don’t know she raising a lil bish smh
I am a nurse too, not at a school but I be getting mad when my daughter’s school nurse be calling me about her having cramps while on her period. I’ve told her about taking her Motrin every 6 hours to stay on top of it and she forgets, then I guess you like being in pain but what you want me to do because you staying at school.
I know that’s right. They come in talking about I soiled my underwear. I used to have to call moms for that. I got a trick for they ass now…I bought underwear. And I’m thinking about buying a few leggings too for if it go through their pants. That’s all they fast asses like to wear anyway. I tell em you are in high school now. Write your dates on a calendar to be prepared. Have you a change of pants and underwear in your locker and put some motrin here in the clinic. But they don’t get it. I guess they really still kids…sigh
Especially when they dyed them ?? green on st. Patrick’s day. ?? Felt like I was special. I had a whole roll of laundry mat quarters ready to pop off lol?
I had to get down how I lived. Shoooo! My school made the best fries, so I begged for fries ?? a lot. Lol
Lol. You stay ready for them. When they see you not playing they’ll get it eventually. Mine did.
GOOD POINT! Its a shame that we have to take the bathroom policy into consideration. Damn. smh
Yes the rules in the schools are ridiculous. Some are a lot worse than others. A few around me went to Catholic school. While their policies were the strictest (that I can recall right now)…those kids were the devil! LOL
School rules so he can adjust on his own.
These schools be trying it. I understand rules & policy. However, I’ve come across some “rules” that just cross the line and start stepping on my toes as a parent. Let me shorten this: I will determine if I should take MY time, MY energy and MY gas to bring MY child something that has been forgotten at home. And yes, I have refused to take forgotten items up to the schoolhouse….but like I said, MY choice.
Especially in the black community!! Sandra give me a break! You are starting to sound like Mrs. Charles Barkley!! You go out of your way to negate the black community every chance you get! Pls start loving yourself a little more. Then maybe your disdain for people of color will cease to exsist!!!
What those bitches need to stop is pedophile priests. Damn if anybody stops me from seeing my child at any time for any reason.
Exactly… You never see a sign warning you that your child may be molested on the door of the Catholic schools!!
Huh? Ok I guess ? Funny. My mom had a job any damn way LOL. Most working-class people do. Perhaps their school shouldn’t be so affluent!
I agree with the school.
I’ve known parents to leave work to take their kid food, school work etc… I did it myself when my daughter was in elementary then, I told her to get a life and figure it out from now on. If I forget to pack her lunch, that’s on me but, if she forgets her homework, that’s on her. She should check her backpack every night and put it in front of the door ready for the next day.
I see you like making smart arse comments to people asking can they read and shat. Apparently Ms. Sandra deleted ur comment, that’s why I came to this one. If I need to learn to read, you can learn to kiss an arse and stop sitting behind a computer where no one can see you making smart azz comments. Ho
I agree! I have 2 sons and they will learn the hard way the FIRST TIME.
lololololol
Thanks. I just looked at the title and started commenting.
It all coincide together… If u use critical thinking there must be an out of control problem at that school for mettling mothers. Mothers who coddle their sons I can almost guarantee u they don’t have any responsibilities at home.
Boys are not to be coddled in any way, shape, or form. My mother didn’t coddle my brother and today at 36 years of age he own 2 very successful businesses, own his home ( no mortgage) and he is tough on his 2 sons he love them but he make them work. The men in my family make most men look p I S S poor.
That wasn’t my point.
You think that a mother who brings her son his lunch or homework one time during the school year is coddling?
If he forgets his lunch or homework on a regular basis I would say he needs to be evaluated by a neurologist or he’s looking for attention.
Ok why is the sign up at the school I didn’t put he sign up dummy
Again I don’t see the connection.
Someone said that there may be something shady happening at the school and I tend to agree.
If I were a parent I would never send my child to boarding school.
Look what happened at Oprah’s school in Africa with those lesbian pedophiles, and you know why?
Because the girls at that school were isolated from their parents, and that’s the perfect environment because the adults at the school become their ‘parents’ and the students are taught to implicitly trust authority and if something occurs they are prohibited from contacting their parents so they have to keep whatever happens to them a secret just like pedophile operate.
It could go the other way. I know a guy who has been so called raising his son since he was 6 years old and he treats him like a frat brother. No responsibility etc.
At the end of the day idc shady things are happening at every school, these millennials act like certified retards and these helicopter parents are ridiculous.
Kids have left their lunch and homework at home since they were forced to go to school so I don’t get the big deal.
Or just use the app to keep up with your days… I work with high school girls as well
Lord … do you need an enima for the rest of your bs you expect me to care about?
what’s so fishy about this? parents coming to school to me is very disruptive so why should anyone be cool when a parent disrupts a class because Timmy or Becky forgot their hot pocket? no let them fend for themselves
Bite that gravel….chew on Brillo….”BE A MAN”…. Lol
Black family….” Do u think that I am going to leave my job to come and bring you a lunch because your lazy a$$ forgot it…I’ll be dam-ed…Your hungry a$$ will eat when you get home…calling me on my got dam- job with this bullsh!t….I leave work to bring a lunch and get fired you really going to be hungry….BYE” (click)…
Yea ok if u think it’s all about forgetting lunches then u will never get it and when u do have kids they will probably live with you until they are 30. The sign clearly said they are teaching them problem solving skills. If those parents can afford to send their offspring to a private catholic school those boys are spoiled brats.
Bish please eat your own bull ? And die afterwards. ??????
She still has to respect you as a adult, especially when said you didn’t want to do a particular thing or another. Most parents teach their kids don’t do anything you don’t want to do. No, it doesn’t have to be bad but if you’re just not interested in such and feels like a waste of time, don’t do it to appease others.
Yeah sometimes I have to remind my folks. “Do you remember how you raised me and the things you taught me?” The parental units can be trip at times.
A lot of schools don’t like the in and out of parents for things that they children need to be responsible for. They find that many parents will come and make other excuses when their children are not doing well in school. You set up bad habits with the parents.
While other parents teach their kids lessons about responsibility and how that will always work into your life in many situations. Mommy and Daddy won’t be able to run to your job, if you didn’t cover your azz.
Now you know you can pop up at the school anytime you want to but the chances of walking in and seeing father Walter doing something to your kid is pretty much slim to none. It’s going to be done to them somewhere off in some area. Although not that type of sick and evil but think about it when you do stuff you know you’re not supposed to do, do you do it in the open where people can possibly see you quickly? I thought not. Get serious folks.
Man when I started substituting for a English class for teacher on maternity leave. You wouldn’t believe how many mothers would consistently come to school to bring notebooks and homework. Instead of letting them received a bad grade, then putting them on punishment so therefore they would learn.
Instead we would get parents shouting I’m not going to let my child fail. Too late you already have and keep it up it will following them into adulthood.
yea this generation of kids totally dependent on their parents waaaaaay to much….I was cooking the family breakfast at 8 mom taught me to cook at 7. My mother never had to check behind me or my brother about homework or lunch money. Its ridiculous.
yea this generation of kids totally dependent on their parents waaaaaay to much….I was cooking the family breakfast at 8 mom taught me to cook at 7. My mother never had to check behind me or my brother about homework or lunch money. Its ridiculous.
Thank you! My mother would have give me one time, myself and the rest of my siblings but after that you’re going to learn to be responsible. If it causes you to fail your azz is going to be on punishment.
Then maybe you’ll take it just a little bit more serious about how you need to make sure everything you need for school is where it’s supposed to be. THE NIGHT BEFORE. Daddy felt the same there was no argument or trying to play both sides. No ma’am.
Obviously you’re new here. My readers know I do not have disdain for the black community. I know my audience.
Hi nurse!
Even though I wrote this post, it didn’t register until just now that this is HIGH SCHOOL. ?
You couldn’t take 2 minutes to look at papers that he carefully laid out on your bed. Aw man… ?
Heyyy fellow nurse!!??
Agreed.
The note is rude, condescending, and insulting to FATHERS and mothers whom have a legal right to enter a building where in which their minor child is attending school.
A policy and note advising parents to leave forgotten items in the school office would have sufficed. But this school resents it’s caring parents and wanted to mock and embarrass them.
The school board and administration would need to learn to problem solve on their own without meddling parents when the school needs volunteers and fundraising. Hypocrites.
Because this note went viral as the school intended, those parents should class action sue the school for defamation and demand an apology.
This post is about a school notice that did not specify fathers or mothers. The school notice was directed at parents.
How people interpret this school notice is based on their experience and perspective. Those from a single mother experience and perspective will read the school notice as directed only toward mothers.
Even though the school notice does not specify and is directed toward all parents, fathers and mothers of the son’s attending the all boys Catholic school at subject.
Blame it on the “intern”…….WE DO!!! LOL
In my experience it’s the fathers who coddle their sons. It’s the fathers always trying to sweet talk mothers into letting sons off punishment or letting sons have a little more time on the video game. Dads tend to want to be the friend parent and leave mom to be the bad guy with the rules.
Thank god for intelligent, caring and conscientious mothers and fathers in this world where there is much evil targeting kids within schools and outside.
I personally take issue with closed door policy schools. Not a coincidence that most in school child abuse and molestation takes place in closed door policy schools, including Catholic schools who have no business closing any door to parents given Catholic schools associative history with rampant child abuse and molestation in the Catholic Church.
Relax.
???
She stands alone.

Just got another one. 1350 mins text data for the year. Came with the phone, all accessories and activation card for mins which triple for life. Less than $100. Prior mins just ran out after 2 years. The kids aren’t calling anyone so it lasted. Emergency use only.
Forgive me. I turnt my mouth up.
It did specify it said mettling mothers. Mettling is definitely a feminine trait.
I live in the Bay Area. Not sure which city you lived in, but there is plenty of grass.
I live in the Bay Area. Not sure which city you lived in, but there is plenty of grass.
Do you really? I’ve watched you go in on every straight black man you speak about. Obama, Iverson, R Kelly and that’s just a few. A negro selling whack thongs you will elevate him to the heavens! Pls get to know your audience! Fox news needs no more correspondents!!! And by the way…I respect anyone who is about positivity. I don’t get that from this blog AT ALL!!
I agree with you how dare you tell parents they can’t help their children. I would have followed that dumb rule.
ive said that to my now 16 year old a couple of times
What if the kid is on a strict diet, perhaps due to Type 1 Diabetes (for which he’s not at fault because he was BORN with it)? Mealtimes are strictly regimented due to the need to balance blood sugar, so the meal is very specific: no skips or substitutions allowed (substitutions can mess up the blood sugar while skipping can result in a potential emergency). What if he has a food allergy so can’t substitute without a risk of deadly anaphylactic shock?
No, it’s unisex. Though in the masculine, we tend to call it “nosy”. Still, it means the same thing.
But some problems DON’T HAVE a solution. If you can ONLY eat certain food due to a chronic condition AND have to eat it at a specific time each day, then the only option you have is the lunch you left at home. Going without can result in a medical emergency.
But what if something like this results in a MEDICAL EMERGENCY? Like it or not, a child’s medical emergency falls on the parent.
But what if the kid is celiac and/or lactose-intolerant? Bread and dairy are not an option and can in fact result in medical emergencies.
I thought it already WAS, given this is a Christian school. I know it applied at a Catholic school I knew.
But what if the food IS your medicine due to a medically-regimented diet? No skipping or substitutions allowed because your condition can turn it into an emergency.
And if they’re celiac or have a peanut allergy…?
Unfortunately, peanut allergies are just that darn sensitive. Just the tiniest droplet of secondhand peanut oil caused a girl to DIE from anaphylactic shock. Just the residue from TOUCHING something that touched peanut oil is enough.
But what if the kid has a peanut allergy AND lactose intolerance?
I’m surprised you didn’t get a call from the police because they caught your son truant.
Oh? What if it was a MEDICALLY-NECESSARY lunch? Not complying can result in a medical emergency and potential lawsuits.
I know, it’s scary. That’s why I had zero problem when my son’s school sent out the notice not to send anything to school with peanut butter, including your own child’s lunch, because kids share, etc.
Good point. I never thought of that. There should definitely be exceptions made in cases like that, and the information regarding the allergies and Celiac Disease should be in the students file, and in the cafeteria. Of course it’s not an option to sicken children because they forgot their lunch.
Blah blah blah and one day that boy who is gonna be a man will forget his lunch he will figure it out now and then. These boys are Whiney whimpey geeks. If it’s so important as a dayum high schooler let him manage it.
Be quiet the sign said mettling mothers. It would’ve said mettling mothers and dads. U fu c kers can’t read or follow directions. Ur tryna blur lines with a simple sign please have a sit
In grade school one of the cafeteria workers was the mom of a boy a year ahead of me, and her and my mom were friends. She made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, and the days she did that were the best days for me. It wasn’t often, and every day I’d stand in line hoping she made them lol. Now I buy the pumpkin chocolate chip cookies in the bakery section of the store when I see them. I starved on the days we had French Dip Sandwiches or Sloppy Joes. I hate soggy bread to this day lol.
I have asthma, and my son has allergies bad. I give him a surgical mask to use, and I have to use one too when the weather is funny sometimes. His dad has horrible allergies, and still cuts the grass. I just can’t get comfortable paying for something I can do myself. Now waxing my eyebrows or cutting my son’s hair-yeah, those I’ll definitely pay for lol.
Exactly how it should be.
Ok lol.
Thank you
I AM a father who has ALWAYS been there and my wife had this same attitude toward our son. Didn’t want him cutting grass or washing the cars. Fortunately she saw the light and now by us working together to train him he’s a productive member of society.
That little boy is not YOUR King, but a King in Training. To be a good King you have to understand the struggles that come and learn the wisdom to work through or avoid them. Handling everything for your son (or daughter) handicaps them and makes them subject (or overly dependent) on others. Why would anyone want that for their child?
I lived for sloppy joes and French fries
Bet his ass won’t forget it next time. People complain 365 that there aren’t enough real men, but start tripping when you try to instill some accountability.
I’d assume that would be an exception for proven medical emergencies.
I understand you completly… your teaching him right!
