A Los Angeles woman who claimed she was sexually assaulted by GOP candidate Donald Trump abruptly dropped her lawsuit against the billionaire on Friday.
The NY Daily News reports, lawyers for the woman filed a one page dismissal in a Manhattan court on Friday after the woman cancelled a press conference in L.A. this week.
In her lawsuit, the woman claimed she was sexually assaulted by Trump at a “series of sex parties” in New York City. She claims she was 13 at the time.
She explained why she never once notified authorities after being assaulted at a “series of sex parties”.
“Immediately following this rape, Defendant Trump threatened me that, were I ever to reveal any of the details of Defendant Trump’s sexual and physical abuse of me, my family and I would be physically harmed if not killed,” the plaintiff said in an affidavit.
The woman said the “wall-to-wall” press coverage of Trump’s campaign for president brought back painful memories, which is why she filed the lawsuit.
A lawsuit she filed in April was dismissed by a Los Angeles Federal Court in May because the complaint was improperly filed.
A Trump spokesman called the woman’s allegations “categorically untrue, completely fabricated and politically motivated.”
