Black rappers are beginning to question the hip-hop industry’s sudden love affair with non-black rappers.
Rap producer Sonny Digital has noticed the industry’s emphasis on white rappers and producers.
DJ Khaled, Post Malone (“Rockstar”), Tekashi69, aka 6ix9ine, and Lil Pump (“Gucci Gang”) are just some of the white rappers who are highly favored by the music industry right now.
Their numbers are steadily increasing while homophobic black rappers are slowly being phased out.
Sonny took to Twitter.com on Thursday to voice his opinion on the declining presence of black rappers on the charts.
He tweeted:
“I’m convinced the only way to get noticed in these times is to color your hair… preferably Dreads.. Get Face Tattoo that doesn’t mean too much… get a beat from Mexiko Dro. do hella drugs.. Shoot a million guns and not get caught.. make a soundcloud and BOOM. You lit.”
Though Sonny didn’t name Tekashi69 or Lil Pump directly, many of his followers called out the rainbow-haired rappers for cultural appropriation.
I’m convinced the only way to get noticed in these times is to color your hair.. preferably Dreads… Get Face Tattoo that doesn’t mean too much…get a beat from Mexiko dro. do hella drugs..Shoot a million guns and not get caught..make a soundcloud and BOOM ?. You Lit

I just wanna hear some good tunes …. I don’t give a damn about the color. . If it’s banging I’m supporting …. I listen to everything and never based it on a color . . What Kind of bound mindset is that BS …. Bring on the tunes… .
the picture alone scares me so I know good and damn well I don’t wanna hear what they have to say
I think I said what this was about.. you still don’t get it. It is the new age theft. They used Elvis to steal back their white audience so they can make money, they used the Beatles to steal back their audience to make money, They used Brittany and Beiber and Christina..should I continue? They all “Adapted” the black sound to so cross over stopped crossing dollars over our way..any more questions?
Facts!
Blues, Jazz, Funk, R&B, Hip Hop, KMT, Moorish Legacy, Anything Indigenous…
‘Tis what they do best. Appropriate and re-present as their own.
Also, just because the media endorses and enables this bullchit doesn’t mean it’s true. That’s also what they do best…piss on your head and tell you it’s raining. In due time this phase will pass.
I think you’re right. They’re also doing it with artists like Adele, Ed Shereen, and like you said Justin Bieber. I was sure Shape of You was a black artist, and Kandi Burruss wrote it. I’ve thought a couple of Justin Bieber songs were black. Adele is so overrated. So is Sam Smith.
But is the music good tho. Thats all im really concerned about.
They’re Industry Plants!
No. No it’s not.
LOLOLOL
Lil Yahty is all that except he is black and his music is GARBAGE.
Just like justin bieber. Hey lets get the white boys to emulate black culture in hip hop. Then they make all this money off our culture meanwhile the black artist who are more talented get the short end of the stick SMH Its a common trend!!
Make no mistake, it’s not a coincidence.
The devil can only imitate what god creates..tis all.. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/68bc52b2a4f54f3dc0d4dea29ec0c12c203c19b65d4d18beb2fbbd13d0be6a55.gif .
One of these rappers did a gay prOn. I think it was ole boy up too sixty nine ????
Whet?
Yep. I ain’t gon post it but I can find it. Hold on ??
Black rappers are beginning to question the hip-hop’s sudden love affair with non-black rappers.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Sooooo….hip hop aint BEEN had non black rappers? What is old shall be new again bc I swear Beasties had this same back lash circa 1986ish. Followed by 3rd Base. And then we had Vaniller Ice. And then we had Everlast. That fukka who sang that annoying ass Informer song (Snow?). Marky mark annoying ass. I mean they arent new. But whatever
Adele is their version of “NeoSoul”….They have a girl that sounds just like Rhianna too..I can’t remember her name though.. They tried to get up on the sista rappers side with that iggy chick epic fail…
Wayne, Future and em’ created the storm and now its raining. There will be more yt factory made rappers coming. The clown hair, face tatts, dirty lookin, gold colored grill is an insult to the perception of black rappers in general. Thats how they see “us” so here the yt man come imitating at its finest. They are making a caricature of black rap artists and what they think rap is by putting it in a recipe along with bits and pieces from culture vulturing, solely to make themselves into these new age trash lyricists with no talent.
Joss and Jessie J are blue eyed soul. Adele is just Adele. She not all that soulful. et ALL. Not to me anyways.
Yeah true…they are.
Lol
2000s…Eminem
Judging by the shape of his lips….nevumind!
Found it. That’s him red bandanna on and errything
You already know ?
Oh 2000s had a lot of them. Kid Rock. My personal fave…Pawl Wawl. Bubba Sparxx. Like Im lost to as why is this an uproar right now.
Lets face it YT PEPO are our Chinese..they keep bootlegging our shyt hoping the copy is as close as possible to the real thing

Chile you sho right!
Bye! *runs of flailing hands*
Look like they went to a trailer park and ask the first white meth heads do you wanna be a rapper ?
black rap artists have mad a caricature of ALL BLACK PEOPLE…and that crap them black rappers spew is not black culture if anything these black rappers which are owned by white supremacists companies are set forth to destroy black culture
Im a hip hop fanatic. Like Ive NEVER known a time without rap/hip hop. Whitey always been in rap. Whitey helped fund rap to sustain it. Rap was almost outta here by 1982 but along came a white Jew and his black homeboy. Jew boy had them dollars. Homeboy turned out to be a pedo but had an ear to the streets for music. I mean if you aint never listened to a Def Jam ANYDAMN thing then okay you can feel how you feel justly. But if you rocked out to Def Jam at any time of your life on the strenff of Rick Rubin’s funding Im not seeing how you have a dog in this argument/fight of whites in hip hop.
IJS
I used to think you were crazy but you’re making more sense. I’m changing my relationship with rap. I think it has brainwashed the youth and the world’s perception of black people, and that does matter. You can’t ask people to respect you when you don’t respect yourself.
Correct, but the difference is they respected the art. They came in adding to the essence of Hip Hop.. not this Lean, inchoerent mumble music. If you come to the culture leave something . but dont come and change it to some BS.. Post malone said dont come to hip hop if you looking for deep messages.. WTF!!! Ok its a whole different issue now
That’s because black people in general are so inviting to other races in all aspects of life! Nothing wrong with being “friendly” like them but leave it at that. Soon, black great-grandpappies are going to be asking, why my family so white…
I just dont agree that they stole anything. How can you steal something that you gave? We needed the money to keep it alive and to keep it sustainable. We took that money. Jimmy Iovine, Rick, add in big Jew name here…We expect them to give it back or for them to join in. Thats like me giving you my ball to pay with an mad bc you dont want to ball WITH JUST exclusively me. Either we gonna take back our genre and tell them thanks for playing or we gonna hush and realize they done paid for their right to play. And we allowed it. Handed it over on a platter really.
Look at them. They not gonna be around long a bunch of junkies, promoting jukie shit to the kids.
They’re just now waking up to this? Thank Black rappers like Wayne, Jay, and rest of em that embraced White rappers and were more than happy to usher them into the business not knowing how the White man always hijacks our stuff, turns it White, and markets pale face to the hilt. They’ve been doing that since the 50’s.
Their respecting us has nothing to do with us, but everything to do with them. Some of us need to stop internalizing THEIR evil and hatred. It’s a part of White supremacy that not only makes them think they are better than us. They’ve been imitating us since we taught them how to walk upright. Most of us don’t disrespect ourselves, so that can’t be the solution. It’s them, not us.
The difference between folks like the Beastie Boys,3rd Base, Everlast etc and this bs here, is that the aforementioned had actual talent and were pretty much themselves (white boys) not some mockery, formulaic image driven none sense.
Okay point taken. But when they DID start to become a mockery did we kick them and their dollars out or did we allow it and now are calling foul?
Nope that’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying right is right and wrong is wrong. Young girls do not need to grow up being PRIMARILY influenced by the likes of Nicki Minaj and young boys don’t need to grow up being primarily influenced by the likes of Lil Wayne. There is a generation out there. Asians are known for being smart, even Mexicans are known for being hardworkers, black people are known by hip hop culture.
Like and respect are not the same thing. If you think black people can’t have some respect and dignity, YOU are the brainwashed one. It’s time for our people to spiritually and mentally elevate and evolve.
I normally dont agree with your view but you hit the nail on the head with this one.
i would say black people are disrespecting ourselves for that fact we have not came out as a group to speak out about this rap garbage that has been preaching killing other blacks and rape of women and pimping woman and selling drugs to our own people and tons of black clap when these people get awards just like that group out of Tennessee got an Oscar for talking about pimping our woman and black folks said it was a good thing
Black people are not known by the hip hop culture. That’s short-sighted view. Black people are known for being strong, resilient, and enduring. We are the mothers and fathers of civilization. Language, mathematics, the arts, and everything else come from us. If we know our history, then we’ll see that we are creators and innovators. Everyone follows us. Hip hop is a very very small portion of who we are. We aren’t just one unit. Asians are known for being smart and Mexicans are known for being hard working. Those are stereotypes. Africans are the smarts group out there, and trust and believe, there are many lazy Mexicans. If you think that the millions of Black people in the African Diaspora don’t have respect, you are short sighted, ignorant, and need to broaden your horizons because if that’s your take, and you are Black, that includes YOU. You are no different than the ignorant, evil White supremacists. In fact, you are worse.
We got brought in here, went through slavery, the civil rights movement, and we still stand. Perhaps, you need to pick up a REAL history book and read so you know the legacy of Black people. So, I’ll say it again, YOU are brainwashed.
Well, guess what? Since Black people are being pushed out of the rap game, you don’t have to worry about them being influenced by those big, bad, Black rappers. They can emulate the ones in this thread. Oh, but guess what? They are White. Feel better now?
Right…running around handing out passes to everyone…accepting everyone as black even when they know the person isn’t.
I remember back in the early 2000’s, you had rappers like Aesop Rock and Atmosphere (who is black, but whose audience was predominantly white) in the underground scene, but they stayed there. They never really mixed or where accepted by the larger hip-hop culture. I wonder if technology is partly responsible for the increased visibility of obscure artists (“artists” in this case, maybe)… what I’m saying is maybe rappers like this are more visible, but is anyone actually being music from them/going to concerts? Open question, idk.
Ha!
I said this. We invited these people into something that was all ours. Now we mad. Like…?
Blah blah blah you said all that and still missed my point. Modern day hip hop culture is what devalues the ancestors, not me. You got Jay Z and Kanye putting out niggas in Paris for the world to sing aong to and say nigga. White women thinking it’s so okay to call each other nigga they put it on the gram. Rappers with their pants hanging down, mumbling, rapping about murder, drugs and random sex is what many of outside of the America think African Americans are. These caricatures are their only examples. I haven’t even touched the damage they’ve done and are doing to our youth and communities. I don’t need a history lesson from you. Find a big bad rapper, a misguided kid, or a foreigner to talk to.
that perception is why these cops are willy nilly shooting young guys down and beating the hell out of black women and we are treated like joke in today’s society
Yes yes yes! They don’t want to hear it though.
Anyone who would look at Jay Z, Kanye, Nicki and the rest of them as examples of Black people are clearly not intelligent. In fact, they are fools. Who would look at a few people representing millions of Blacks and say, “Oh, that’s how Black people are?” Do they look at the likes of Dahmer, Bundy, and the countless White serial killers and say, “This is how all White men are?” No, they don’t. They know Black people aren’t all the same, but as long as they can continue to push their “We are superior to them” narrative, they will. That’s what racism is. They see the bad in some of us, and say it represents all of us, but they don’t do that with themselves. Do you see how asinine that is? I don’t care what they think of us. I know who were are, and it’s not my responsibility to convince White folks or anyone else that we ain’t all alike. Perhaps if they took their heads out their backsides, they see the vast number of wonder Black people (in fact, there are places in Europe that still worship Black queens). In fact, people outside of America oftentimes see the beauty and wonder of Black people more so than many Blacks. You’re the one saying they have these ideas about Blacks, so maybe you need to find a rapper, a misguided kid and a foreigner to talk to. Maybe they’ll give you a dose of reality, but I doubt you’d listen. You’re mindset is very disturbing, especially if you are Black. If you aren’t, then I’d understand, but for Black people to think that rappers are an example of millions of people, is beyond me. IF they think we are like a few rappers they’ve seen, then they would say that about the conscious rappers too, right? SMH.
I like the Puerto Rican version of trap rap.
Wowww mainstream entertainment purposely plant these filth to replace our musics and of course the gay agenda gender neutral movement is still being shoved down folks throats
Lil Pump is Mexican
I had to see who I blocked cause I surely couldn’t see your comment anyway I disagree…what about the Common, Black Thought,Q-tip, Nas and countless others that have also represented us they are considered rappers too aren’t they??? You cant pull out one side and totally disregard the other. The new wave of rappers wanna be new Future and Wayne because they get the most shine out of our culture even though they might not be the best lyrically.
Yes indeed. I won’t buy into none of it either.
It’s because nowadays u don’t need talent to become popular and make it, So it’s anybodys game…
Preach!
Its not all rap. You are glorifying one side of rap instead of looking at the genre from a non-bias standpoint. You out here talking like Bill Cosby in the 90’s foh.
Agreed we invited and that opened the flood gates.. at the core of it all WS didn’t or financially didn’t allow hip hop to own. Because we know who the heads of these labels are. But I disagree that they paid they right to play. If they did then the cover is too low. All you need is the look and they in. At least back in the day you actually had to have lyrical. ( Eminem ]. which weeded out the phony. But now it’s just a free for all.. it’s to late now we subjected to….. thanks for the open approach to the conversation..?
Well you’re calling the youth, OUR youth, “clearly not intelligent” because they are looking up to these rappers as an example. If you don’t see any correlation between young people killing each other, selling drugs, calling each other nigga all day, and the general way they carry themselves, with rap, you are willfully ignorant. They romanticize and glamorize that lifestyle and take their cue from rappers. Most people are affected by the images they see and hear daily. Rap is doing them, and us, a great disservice. You don’t seem to understand how pervasive it is, and the impact and hold it has on the minds of the impressionable. Rappers are not responsible for all of it but they are responsible for a lot of it. I can’t think of anything positive they’re doing for the community. Just lining their own pockets.
I’m trying to understand your argument in favor of rap but you don’t have one. You are talking in the abstract. I’m talking about the struggle and how rappers are making it worse. You’re really in lala land talking about the beauty and wonder of black people to Europeans. Who really cares about that? Tf does that have to do with rappers corrupting the minds of the most vulnerable and impressionable members of society. There are kids aspiring to be rappers, instathots, thugs, drug dealers, even killers, and it stems from the rap/thug culture. But I’ll let you get back to missing the point and beating around the bush.
They are appropriating as well.
those few guys who you spoke about just how much air play do they really get just how often do you even see them on tv..you think the youth is really listening to them?? do you see more black youth trying carrying on like black thought and Q-tip..or Young Thug and Future the white supremacist put the most ignorant crap on the front line to be influential and just give you a taste of something constructive to say oh we being fair its not our fault nobody want to listen to it
It is because they steal everything we create. Blacks created Rock & Roll and they made Elvis the king. For people they supposedly hate and look down on they sure do like what we create and after they infiltrate it they take the credit for creating it.
Exactly. They have an agenda. We can see the gay agenda but can’t see the thug culture agenda. They love promoting these simpleminded idiots and aiding the destruction of the black community! It’s like how only Precious and Monster’s Ball will win an Oscar. White people eat that shit up!
Black people cannot be pushed out of rap or hip hop. Everything is dependant on black people first cosigning the trend. Yt rappers imitate, they do not innovate. As soon as black presence seems to be no more in hip hop…it’s no longer hip hop…. Pop music came from yt people trying to RnB.
That, sadly, is very true in many instances.
How so? Different ethnic group, but most are black. Tego Calderón, Nikki Jam, Don Omar, and Ozuna to name a few, are negro. They rap about the struggles they face in their environments.
The collation between gangs violence, selling drugs, and such has to do with poverty and unemployment, not solely rap. I’m not saying some young people aren’t influenced by rappers, but people have always been influenced by music like rock. So are White folk responsible for the disparities of Whites who do drugs? The fact that you think this argument is in favor of rap means you aren’t picking up what I’m putting down. I hate rap. I loved it back in the day when it was positive and uplifting, but the crap that’s out today is garbage. Yes, it’s affected many in our community. My issue is your saying that they are responsible for why White folks think African Americans are a certain way. Who really cares about the beauty and wonder of Black people, not only in Europe, but elsewhere? You should be if you are indeed Black. Herein lies the problem. If Black people don’t know who they are, they will be influenced by the White media who tries to tell us who we are, and it is NEVER positive. We sit around listening to what they say about us, and we believe it. If we read or delve outside of our circle, we’ll never know the TRUTH. You are focusing on negativity, when there is much more to Black people than rap, violence and such. BTW, you know drug addiction is out of control in White America. Is that rappers’ fault too? You are talking about kids aspiring to be rappers, thots, drug dealers and killers, missing the point that MOST are not. There are tons and tons of young people who don’t even listen to today’s rap and they are striving to be productive members of society. Maybe you need to stop allowing the media to brainwash you into believing that all is bad in Black America and open your eyes to the wonderful things we ARE doing.
Well, I don’t know about that. It seems to me that they are being pushed out. I agree about us and trends. I agree that YT does imitate. He always been a culture vulture. I agree that they are and never have been innovators, but I see more and more non-Black rappers rising along the ranks. No, they will never be like us because it’s not in them. So what you are saying is once they take over, it’s no longer authentic, right? If so, I see your point. Yes, that’s very true about pop music.
He’s mexican when its convenience and white every other time.
and on top of that its plenty of black folks who think this stuff is just A ok and its not an issue at all.quick to defend these guys and the genocidal stuff they spew
You’re still missing my point and trying to school me when I already have the education. Yep white culture and white celebrities are responsible for white drug use, but you’re deflecting.
The point was that a white supremacist industry is using rappers to push a negative and destructive image of black people, and to corrupt the black commmunity and it’s working! You can deny it all you want.
I’ll go back to my original point. You can call it a stereotype if you want. Asians are known for being smart, Mexicans are known for being hardworkers, and blacks people are known by hip hop culture. Since you wanted to be cute and ASSume, I will also add Jamaicans are know for having a dozen jobs, African immigrants are known for being industrious and studious, and even they view black Americans negatively because of this portrayal. Black people around the world share the same struggles, even on the continent, and that you think we have room to portray an image making fools of ourselves is laughable. Stop always bringing up white people, there is not an even playing field and you know it.
You can’t really do anything about it. The genre’s best days are gone. Our top hip hop artists had a hand its demise and black millenials can’t seem to match yesterday’s talent.
There’s a white blues and black blues now, maybe hip hop will do the same or better yet start a new genre like someone said elsewhere.
Lmao, exactly…meth and who knows what else.
you are 100% right in what you saying and this where i talk about so many black people ready to defend this outlandish behavior..i live in a city where so many people follow and worship these guys trying to dress like them get tattoos all in their face like them..but they dont have a talent to make money the use a gun to make money and you can see the results every night on the nightly news
“The point was that a white supremacist industry is using rappers to push a negative and destructive image of black people, and to corrupt the black community and it’s working! You can deny it all you want.” I never denied this because that’s not what you said. Yes, when the White establishment created gangster rap, it was the beginning of the end. I get it, okay, so stop with your condescending verbiage. Asians are known for their being smart (but they aren’t, so it’s a stereotype). Mexicans are known for being hard workers (but many aren’t, so it’s a stereotype). Black are NOT known for the hip hop culture because White faces became the face of hip hop. Again, stop with the condescending attitude because I wasn’t trying to be cute, but what you are is defensive. I’m talking to you like an adult, and you are acting childish. I speak from the hip. I ain’t trying to be cute. Many Africans listen to rap, so no, they don’t view Black Americans a certain way simply because of the rap music that the love and emulate. Many of them and other non-American Blacks view Black Americans based on the racist mindset of their masters (YT) many of whom have been colonized.
Yes, I am going to bring up White people because I’m trying to get you to connect the dots, but I see that’s highly impossible. Your arrogance and attitude keeps you from being able to focus on what I’m saying. I’m not going to keep going back and forth with someone who doesn’t get it and who puts words in my mouth. You don’t have the ability to stretch your mind. You are so myopic and have a stank attitude, and I’m not dealing with it anymore. I’m a 50-something grown ass woman who’s been on this earth probably longer than you. I’m willing to bet you are young and think you know everything. You are unteachable because of your defensiveness, so let’s agree to disagree. Good night.
Oh, and in case you didn’t get it: I don’t GOF about what Africans, YT, or anyone else feels about Black people because those are the same ones that ride our coat tail, so let me make that clear. If they are stupid enough to judge a group of people based on rap, then they are stupid.
any city thats primarily black have an out of control murder rate and if she think other races dont look at that and make a prejudgment about black people she is very blind..and you really just wasting your time talking to people like that they have blinders on and they cannot be remove
thing is the white folks judges blacks by that and not giving them jobs and gunning them down in the street
99% of rap is trash these days wether it black, white, yellow or even purple. Pure trash .
Jazz, the Blue, Rock, RNB, etc all came from us, yet many years ago, I went to a jazz concert, and all the artists were White. This is just what they do.
I predict this Sunday’s Grammy Awards will be the lowest watched ever.
He’s Mexican. I’m not a fan I’m just saying it’s only right to recognize ppl for what they are in terms of ethnicity.
He identifies as Mexican and both of his parents are. When does he claim to be white?
*convenient
It’s not their culture. Trap music is specific to black Americans so everyone else that does it is appropriating the culture. There are ways that are okay, like paying homage and acknowledging the birth place…. Not the white way of renaming it and claiming to be the “founding fathers’ of.
Why does everything always have to be about color?
If you have talent no matter what race you are, you should be able to have a rap career.
Look at Jimi Hendrix, he can play a guitar better than other musicians. Same goes for Prince, he ALWAYS had a flare for edgy songs with a more rock N roll Vibe! Music is supposed to be universal!
I won’t be watching, it’s so BORiNG!!!
Um, Mexican is white.
It’s absolutely true. We claim everyone as black. Knowing damn well that if Hollywood replaced ALL the Keri Washington’s and Sterling K browns with Eva Longoria and Jason mamomo. We would be upset but because they do not represent black they are mixed or just plain ole Hispanic
Real hip hop heads ain’t worried about these folks. Never heard of any of them. Imitation is the highest form of flattery. All else is noise.
They was disrespecting us long before Rap and twerking! Slavery anyone?? ok
What an insult. Dumbest thing you’ve ever said. Think what you want but in this day and age especially, you can’t just spew ignorance as if it is fact.
I would LOVE for you to say that on Twitter. You would be raked over the coals.
So you think all of these people fighting deportation and dealing with the DACA debacle are white? Plz stop the madness SR! Tell me you are either joking or inebriated!
Trap music is off limits to everyone but blacks huh?
If you can produce a trap beat you can make a trap song. Nothing exclusive to the black community about the act of producing music.
It’s called Reggaeton and IT IS Puerto Rican culture…
Hendrix has been dead for almost 50 years. FYI
Yes. There is really no point in defending the indefensible. You can’t fix a problem you won’t admit you have. We’re so defensive about our problems. That’s probably why so many black people just decide to worry about themselves.
Rock. Roll and the guitar riffs originated in African/American culture. Music may be universal but the industry is money not art driven. Trust they’ll never allow us to be fully represented in the classical genre.
They’re also indigenous descendants, which definitely isn’t white, so…
What??? Um different language maybe. I’m from East Atlanta.. grew up on real trap music.. 8 Ball and MJG, Tela, The Hard Boyz, Success N Effect etc… I’ve also been to many barrios in PR, and the only difference is the language. Same hardships as in the states, especially for blacks there. Visit Loiza, Puerto Rico. And then get back to me. The ones misappropriating things are groups like Migos, who are from the suburbs of Gwinnett or even TI fake self, who claims Bankhead, just cause he has/had relatives in the hood. FOH
Government thinking.
Gov stats now classify as white within US population. Crazy as it’s reasoning.
like people with a drug problem they cannot fix it until they understand its a problem..thats why you got all these baby mommas and baby daddys and everybody looking crazy when that half raised child that have had nothing but violence blared in his ear his whole life end up in prison…how can a person say it ok to listen to a guy saw over and over how he will do a home invasion and kill your children for the money that is whats in music today..and as far as gang banging and drug dealing is because of poverty the music is encouraging attitudes that lead to poverty. i live in Atlanta posed to be black Hollywood but when you going to the hospitals those doctors sure not black the people building the city sure not black and the best neighborhoods sure not occupied by blacks
Interesting. You have a source? Not being rude I’m just interested in reading up on this
I don’t find it hard to believe and I think that’s why the labels signed such garbage rappers as Lil Yachty and the likes. Dumb down the music makes it easier for white people to step in.
Same thing happened in R&B. Chris Brown can dance but he ain’t vocalist, same with Usher. Bieber can survive cause he was going up against those guys. A guy like Bieber would have never made it in Michael Jackson or Prince’s heyday, the bar was much to high.
I don’t know anything about any of these rappers. As several people have said, it sounds like garbage…but that’s what the previous generation said about hip hop when it first came out, and what the Motown heads said about 70’s disco music…just the way it goes.
BUT, why does every rapper’s name have “Lil” or “Young” in it? What am I missing?
Hip hop hasn’t been around long enough to solely define black culture. As an ethnomusicologist I’ve travelled the world and we have a rich tradition of music most other cultures honor.
All my great nieces and nephews are 1/4 black.
It started with the love affair of black men in hip hop with non-black women. Now we’re supposed to care cause they shipping the men out now? Black men as a group rarely ever stick up for us how we do for him. Let them have hip hop, time to create a new positive genre that black people can be proud of.
Girl like when I saw Diana Ross family when she got honored. Whole family basically white at this point.
Hello! Thank you!!!
lol!!
Exactly TRASH as well
That’s how it started. Black men pushed black women out of the scene. Now guess what? Non-black women will stay on the scene while BLACK MEN are pushed out.
Reggaeton is different from Spanish trap rap. Reggaeton is appropriated dancehall music.
Being Mexican is a nationality. His race is a totally different thing. Many Hispanics in this country identify as white and only identify as being a minority at their own “convenience”. For instance, when being called out for using a racial slur.
EXACTLY!!!!
Tekashi69 is frightening. He’s a gang affiliation propaganda artist. Labels will promote gangs for profit.
Lil Pump cannot pass for white. He looks straight up Mexican and there’s nothing assimilating about his look.
A Class Apart.
Appropriated?
Loiza. Truth!
Exactly!
I guess bc they got dropped off first it’s appropriated. When we ALL made the same slave ship voyage. Or were already present on the island when they got there.
Whatever. Gn.
i think she knows they are both dead…. lol i hope.
Black male rappers are also to blame for this. They’re always cosigning these non-black rappers to increase their following base= $$$.
I remeber years back black men online mocking black women’s erasure from the media and now look ???
Meanwhile he low key favor Wiz.
I won’t either…not that I ever! Lol
Yup, look at cards!
8 BALLLLLLLLLL….MJG…….OUTKAST …Goodie MOB….now you talking about real music….
WEST SYDEEEE ATL…I just want to teleport back to the early 90’s. Life seem soooo much more simple..
Wow…never thought about that but this is on point.
Isn’t coco, Ice T wife, taking credit for big butts. She wrote a long dissertation on how she started the movement or some mess and felt she needed to get credit. I didn’t read that crap because clearly she must have been high on something when she wrote it.
LOL, you invited to the cook out….you invited to the cook out…EVERYBODY invited to the cookout (in my Oprah voice)
To get a new life blacks will sale and/or give up everything they know about the black experience!
The blues fest in Chicago is nearly all white now. Acts and attendees. Smh
I don’t agree that all Mexicans are white and I don’t know about the gentleman pictured above.
But “Mexican” is a nationality, not a race. So Mexicans can be white, black and mixed, just like Cubans. Afro-Mexicans, like black people everywhere in the western hemisphere, frequently face discrimination and erasure at the hands of whiter Mexicans. Many people are probably commenting on Mexicans being white given that many are well known for their anti-blackness. White Mexicans have predominately European descent and tend to have the most power in Mexico. The people Americans are most used to seeing are mixed race Mexicans, who tend to be mostly indigenous and European ancestry (and of course, some African, but don’t let them tell it!).
In the USA, Mexicans were actually considered white in the early 20th century (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Definitions_of_whiteness_in_the_United_States#cite_note-rutgers-66). The American census bureau says Hispanics can be any race, including Mexicans: https://www.census.gov/mso/www/training/pdf/race-ethnicity-onepager.pdf
Sell out black males crappers made their damn selves OBSOLETE. LOL uncle tom punks think it’s cute to erase BW in hiphop–PUNKS. No culture rises higher than it’s women.
This fool loves to ride for non blacks seen but why not his fav actor is BETTY WHITE. Close down your comment son.
Fake face tats and drugs or faked drug use is all it takes? WOW ok
Lets see how ‘down’ these white rappers are when they try to keep it ‘too real’ by throwing around the n – word. See how far that white privilege takes them then.
True.
Bruh…so because I like Betty White and corrected ppl on labeling a Latino as white, I can’t be pro black.
I’ve taught in all black schools for the last five years, and I run a mentoring program for black and Latino boys.
I understand your judgment, but I know me better than that.
Thank you so much for these great sources. I see the point you’re making. I guess it would depend on how the individual identifies. I just got a little perturbed bc it was stated as a fact like all Mexicans are white and I’ve encountered too many to accept that as a universal truth
Now this is true. We accepted Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber, Iggy (for a min), Eminem.
They accept Bey and Rihanna.
Most of these people cling to the black race because we are more accepting of them. But when it’s time to fight for it or when there pockets get fat enough off of us, they go back to there own race. Miley Cyrus for example. She made a lot smoney off of us and then went back.
It doesn’t matter what generations say about each other’s musical tastes because real talent always stands out. I’m pretty sure we can all agree that The Temptations, Wu Tang Clan ,James Brown or even Curtis Mayfield, had way better hits and creativity than these idiots and how old are their songs?? These new artists are just the industry’s way of making a mockery out of hip hop and rap.
I remember my professor in my music business class told us back in 2003 that 10 years from then all black music would be white…and look at his words come to fruition…I too have been questioning why we accept white folk in a genre that was never meant for them?
Yup once shit got thick between the races she was back with her ppl
I think it was that fine Australian man that she got back with telling her he didn’t like that side of her.
Yes Miley did and is country asf now…SMH
I believe it. It’s so pitiful. SMH 2.
That’s on us. We have to stop accepting them because they might conversate with us but they only pretend to like us and truely look down on us.
No problem, and I agree with you. They certainly are not all white, but many of them claim to be, whether they have predominate European heritage or not. I think we can thank white supremacy and the colonial mindset for that!
That said, I am American myself and have to remember that the world doesn’t follow the same classifications that we do; I live in a country with many middle eastern and North Africans, although they are classified as white by the US Census, many don’t appear to classify themselves as such (which doesn’t preclude them from being anti-black or having the colonial mindset that white is right).
FACTS! We can’t control how another person/group of ppl perceives us. The minute we do, we’re succumbing to the oppression.
Sounds like your professor was more of a historian, because that’s what has always happened with music created by black folks.
And Justin Timber-flake.
THIS!!!
Glad to hear that you are making a difference in the community
Yeah and back in the day Bo Derek laid claim to inventing corn roe braids. How could they start big butts – black women are born with big butts.
Lol she said what she said…lol
But i thought the kardashians started cornrows (lmao)
Miley Cyrus made money off black people???
Hip-hop is a low-skill, low-intellect endeavor that is devoid of creativity and musicianship. It stands to reason that white people can be just as successful, perhaps more successful, as hip-hop artists as black people. If it required talent or skill we would not be having this conversation. No white performer could beat Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, Prince or Marvin Gaye at their own game.
I love you! Lol! I sincerely appreciate your perspective on this. Thinking globally is all I want people to do. Some people on here just think with such a narrow mindset and I believe that is dangerous.
Hell yeah. Where have u been?
Right. I like some his music ? though
So if he is latino what is his race white or black? I don’t know who he is so I can’t say but, Latino is not a race it is an Ethnicity, so is he a White Latino or a black Latino?
Mexican is a Nationality so is he a white mexican latino? Black people also lives in mexico and are latino.
I hear you but no race can own an art form. Once the art form is displayed publicly, anyone can imitate or emulate. The problem comes when the ppl that create an art form don’t get credit for creating the art form ex. Little Richard the architect of Rock n Roll. That’s where I see the problem.
Of course! He is “ankle biting” off of black folks, and black folks make good music, so it is to be expected
I thought corn row braids came from Africa and when I was a child I saw older people who wearing them before th Kardasians were born.
Right.
Cultural appropriation vs. cultural appreciation.
Love the culture, hate the people.
I get what you are saying, but why must a few idiots define the entire ethnicity? I feel like black American people are the only group on Earth expected to be superhuman: the entire 35 million of us diverse human beings must follow the same rule book and every moral standard. If some of us deviate from this impossible task, the entire ethnicity ain’t sh!t. DF.
Yea, so there is hood culture, gangsta culture, etc. but black American women still outpace everyone in terms of earning degrees (look it up). Black American poverty rate is about 25%, which is damn low considering Jim Crow was like yesterday and whole towns full of wealth and resources were burnt to a crisp. Black Americans serve in the armed forces at 30% when we only make up about 13% of the population. Why only negative?
Why is it that white Americans can f^cK up all kinds of things and the world still respects them? they can cause wars, drop atomic bombs, subjugate entire groups and steal their resources and white people will still be like “well, it wasn’t me!”. Why can’t I have a “that isn’t me!”?
I’ll tell you why: the world is Anti-black and the American media machine has promoted anti-blackness since there was such a thing. Who controls the media? Not me. Not you. Why ARE Jay Z and Kanye famous. Not because of me. Not because of you. 35 million black Americans could be perfect angels and the world would still be anti-black because black Americans don’t yet have that kind of power.
Oddly enough Non-Black Rappers can only enter the Hip Hop Community through co-signs. They won’t gain credibility or a fanbase without it. So if Black Djs, Producers and artists stop co-signing their work, they won’t take over the itunes charts lol…Stop helpin ya enemies
Thank you. You said it much better.
Neither. He does not identify as a white person.
I’m just speaking from the perspective of a person who has many Mexican friends/students. I get the difference between race and ethnicity, but y’all can’t just lump them in as white when that is not what they all choose to identify as.
https://www.diffen.com/difference/Ethnicity_vs_Race
Reading that article makes me question the need to say a Latino is white. Going with this definition of race, they’d be brown. Whether they identify as white or not is dependent upon the individual.
Being Mexican is only being a citizen of mexico. His race is a totally different thing. It is not about assimilating, but in fact what is he accepted as in this society.
This isn’t just in the rap industry…look at the top jazz songs on Billboard and its the exact same thing…these execs know exactly what they are doing by slowly eliminating “blacks” from their payroll.
A lot.
Miley used black culture and hip hop to disassociate herself from her child actor image and validate herself as grown. Now she is disassociating herself from black culture and hip hop to validate herself as a grown white bread woman.
He left her for “rebelling”.
The thing is the industry is being slick. These white rappers are not white they’re ethnic, Hispanic, Mexican, Puerto Rican with very fair skin. Lil Pump and Tekashi69 only appear white so they have white privilege and cultural license as street Latins to use urban black lingo including n-word.
Only Post Malone is racially white. But he’s slick too knowing darn well he passes for mixed and styled himself as racially ambiguous to get put on hip hop.
well, thats all the black rappers have been doing for decades…give or take a few gangsta love sessions behind scenes for contracts, studio time, and airplay. is being a fool really race related???
This has happened to all areas of music. Remember young white kids are driving the music, and they have more numbers. White people took over jazz, which was the only genre of music black people could play in the brothels to survive, Before R&B, and that was stolen as well. This is just history repeating itself. I’m old school, so I’m not with this non-talented new music.
It’s because we are the minority and because their aren’t enough of us to interact with white people. Most white people only have 3 black/other friends (out of 100 on average) compared to the constant barrage of negative stereotypes they see on TV, the news, or in the entertainment industry. Instead of realizing that their black friend is NOT an anomaly and represents the MANY facets of the black race, the media image of black people dominates their perspective. So for every 3 black person they know a spectrum of 97 white people, some of them trash, some hardworking, some stupid…etc. So when a white person does something bad, it doesn’t represent the whole race because they have experienced the diversity of their own race from actual interactions with different people.
I am not saying people aren’t anti- black and white people haven’t done anything wrong but this happens with any “ minority” or smaller group that’s different. It happens within the black community. It happens on this blog. We just don’t have enough power to systematically disenfranchise the people who we are bias about. It happens in countries with one race (China). It’s happening to Muslims. It happened to Catholics at a point, then the Irish. Theirs just didn’t last as long and stick like anti-blackness has.
It’s not fair and it shows how narrow minded and shallow people are to let media shape their views. And it shows the impact of American media and how it has the WHOLE world thinking that about us. I agree with both of y’all statements but I can only change myself. To combat it, I try to realize when I am falling for the SAME trap that they did and not stereotype or generalize so much.
Oh yeah and we still HELP them promote the anti-blackness and the music poisons the young and weak minds that are already struggling. At the same time why can’t I listen to ratchet music without it sending a message that I support the actual behavior out?
You don’t see black doctors at the hospitals in Atlanta? What hospitals are you going too? The “nicest” neighborhoods might not be black but there are ALOT nice neighborhoods filled with black people. Moved from Atlanta and have been culture shocked that other cities don’t have the different class concentrations of blacks like Atlanta has. I can’t even find ten houses on the same block filled with upper middle class blacks let alone an area that just isn’t dangerous. Heck, I went from not having to try to find a black doctor to spending days googling names and reading reviews to find a black doctor. All I’m a saying is…comparatively to other cities, Atlanta is special and does contain more black peoples making moves and doing great.
yes blacks are a minority in Atlanta when it come i specialized skills in hospitals i have saw that at Grady and Emory…and nationwide its more Asian surgeons in America than black surgeons..and of course its a high concentration of wealthy black people in Atlanta than other cities but they dont OWN these skyscrapers or these hotels or commercial properties its more of black folks got great jobs in these white owned companies in the city…and as far as neighborhoods i see whites have gentrified traditional black neighborhoods moved all the blacks and and improved them to look like something out of movies,Kirkwood,Downtown Decatur,Inman park to name a few and its very few blacks in those areas
I think that was shun king’s original point that I agreed with. The American media promotes anti-Blackness and they’re doing it through rap. Rap is promoting misogyny, rape, violence, multiple baby mamas, crime, general ignorance, etc. and though the rappers are black, the executives who promote them and the people who earn the most money off them are white.
They’re making money off promoting ignorance to our youth and aiding in their destruction at the same time.
I think people are missing the point that it’s the rappers and the hood culture that are internalizing white supremacy, not those who dare to speak out against it and say that not only is it pointless, but it’s destructive.
The way you live your life and view yourself is a reflection of your self-worth. Nothing in hood culture reflects self-worth.
The world has been anti-black before there was an American media. White people started that when they “discovered” Africa. After being enslaved, displayed in zoos, put in museums, told that our brains were smaller and we were inherently inferior, told that we were not even human, raped, lynched, colonized, beaten, etc., I will not support black people willingly making a mockery of themselves while a white person is behind the scenes pulling strings and profiting. There are music videos that are worse than minstrel shows.
White people are given passes obviously because they hold power and privilege around the world. Nothing talks like money and power. Hood culture is not teaching the importance of long term money, power, or basic decency and self-respect.
I don’t excuse people who judge the black race by rappers. I understand how deep the hate goes and I know that hate exists far removed from rap.
I simply don’t understand why we will stand by and excuse, and even defend, a genre of music that does nothing positive or uplifting for us as a people. What’s the point of anything that’s simply negative, and quite frankly dark, especially when many black people are looking more and more impressionable and easily influenced.
White kids can listen to rap without really being affected by it. I could listen to rap without really being affected by it. There are many who cannot. They are really living life like it’s a rap song.
This is your opinion and you are entitled to it. Mexicans are not black. Like other Hispanics they are considered white in America. A Mexican or Cuban will probably stab you if you call them black.
Y’all toss that Hip Hop label around very loosely. To me, Action Bronson and Snowgoons are the most representative of white rappers in the genre.
Smh. I know they aren’t black.
we abandoned jazz
we’re the weakest race for a reason.. let’s take some accountability here.. im not BLAMING the record companies. i blame us. foh
I understand however in the category of race he only have 5 options per the US guidelines for race so maybe he identifies as a American Indian or Alaska Native. Considering the other categories of race are:
White
Asian
Black or African American
Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander
American Indian or Alaska Native
https://www.cde.ca.gov/ls/nu/sn/racialethniccat.asp
stupid as hell right?
its what we do as blavk folks. we abandone our own art forms..we abandon everything
What a helluva analogy, case closed!
You clearly diagnosed the problem, and provided inherent solutions that won’t be realized any time soon!
Bringing back Real Black Music, Artists, not just hit-makers! Not brands where merchandising and promotion comes before the artistry!
Nicki Minaj was tied with Aretha Franklin for number ones or top tens, but look at the catalogs! No diss to Nicki, she’s just a player in a game that works against us as true musicians and what real music does for our souls!
Walmart’s across the nation locking up black hair care products in glass cases. Our race really that simple to risk our freedom over some some shampoo and deep conditioner?
We do need to take accountability for what we have allowed to happen to our music! As I watch Puff Daddy’s “The Four”…I was appalled at how mediocre the music industry has become!
R&B is no longer a Black Music Genre, we aren’t breaking new Black R&B Artists…Adele is the Gold Standard (?)!
Simply because she sales and delivers plain good music without gimmicks because she didn’t have the total package!
SZA, Solange, and others (Beyoncé, AK, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna) are fine, but where is our Black [Diversity ]Genius Pool?
Watching the judges blow all this smoke up Zhavia’s (?) butt was a bit much!
Our Black female singers do too many runs, and that’s played! We lost the melody in our singing voices! Tamar, JHUD, and Fantasia can deliver well within these confines!
Rihanna never did typical R&B, Beyoncé’s been out through various music changes for a couple of decades, so she can do her quite well!
Up and coming Black female artists are given an almost impossible job, where white singers like Nick Jonas, Justin Bieber, Adele, Tory Kelly, Alessia Cara, all they have to do is simply sing!
How often do you hear just “Beautiful” Vocals or songs by Black female vocalists? I.E., “It’s Getting Late” by Floetry or “He Loves Me” by Jill Scott, California King Bed by Rihanna, or Me Myself & I, by Beyoncé, and many others, Ok!
Not so much these days!
The floodgates were open for this fuckery years ago. Anyone can be a successful rapper if you dont mind embarrassing yourself to epic proportions and have unreasonable amounts of free time to record garbage lyrics, troll social media, and go to jail for random ridiculousness.
At the end of the day it is only a made up- man made – word that has no real importance. If we ignore it and see it as irrelevant then we win. This word does not appear in the bible so really, who cares?
humm sounds about right .The Moores drug the yte neanderthals from the caves, against THE MOST HIGH wishes, and saved them. The earth hasn’t been the same since
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!!!11
You are certainly right that marginalization happens to any minority group due to lower numbers (an example of an exception can be the whites in South Africa who had the power so they had “good minority” status). I just mentioned black Americans in particular, because in terms of cultural influence, this group tends to have a far reaching and broader influence that most other minority groups. People emulate black American culture around the world.
It is a complex topic (hate being stereotyped, but like the music), which is why I think this comment thread was very good. Everyone was making some valid points.
I think that this was a good comment thread, because everyone was making at least a few points that we all agree with. I think the only difference is that we deviate on where the majority of the blame should be placed. Some of us think it should be placed on the music execs. Some of us on the rappers. Some of us on ourselves. etc.
As much negativity and destruction that the music brings, it’s origins are from a specific sub-culture that is real and people experience it. I don’t really expect those rappers who experienced this culture to be better people and maybe they don’t have self worth. Some people just don’t have self worth no matter where they come from. But it is promoted so much and used to represent black people because of anti-blackness and minority status.
Someone already said that it is white people who buy most of that music (they have the economic power), so there is only so far the argument can go that black people are promoting this. Yea, some black folks are encouraging negativity, but as a whole, black people don’t have the resources to make it far.
I don’t really listen to rap anymore, not the new stuff anyway because it is crap to me. But I did used to listen to rap all of the time and loved it. To me, it was another art form, even its destructive tendencies; people were singing/rapping about real experiences and there was talent in the flow. One reason people like Eminem is because he was singing about the trailer trash that he is (lol), all negative, but people could relate. All art can’t be good or have a positive moral.
Maybe you should give black people more credit, or at least let them stay on the same plane as other humans: Flawed. There is enough attacking black folks as a group coming from the world at large. That doesn’t mean that we cannot hold ourselves accountable, but sometimes we should put things in perspective.
COSIGN! Please submit this exact statement to the MEDIA…I NEED THIS PRINTED STAMPED AND DISTRIBUTED TO THE ENTIRE WORLD!
Quote: The floodgates were open for this fuckery years ago. Anyone can be a successful rapper if you dont mind embarrassing yourself to epic proportions and have unreasonable amounts of free time to record garbage lyrics, troll social media, and go to jail for random ridiculousness
Yes, and it irks me to my soul.
With all due respect, I think you’re the one not giving black people enough credit. That “sub-culture” is bigger than we like to admit and they should have self-worth! Why wouldn’t they? There’s no excuse for a large group of black people living like the sub-culture does, and our own people making excuses for it! The problems with the black community are not small and it does not affect only affect a small number of black people. I get that it’s their experience but it shouldn’t be. It doesn’t have to be. That’s what people need to understand. That’s what they need to understand.
It’s also not an isolated problem because the majority of black people living in the hood are law abiding, but the thugs are ruining the community for everybody, most of their kids are ruining the schools, and this affects all of us. It’s not fair for black people to live in fear in their own communities, or other black people.
I’m not with the black boule mentality that there’s a separation amongst us black people, and I’m not saying that’s what you’re saying, but I think black people refuse to admit that as a whole, we have issues.
Racial inequality is staggering in America, and this is for the majority of black people, not the minority. We should do all we can to help it but if we’re not being our own brothers and sisters keepers, or holding each other accountable, then we’ve already lost. I get it though, saying we should hold some accountability and responsibility for ourselves, automatically gets us labeled and tuned out.
Right, and it’s actually kinda sad. Rich/wealthy whites would disown their own at a drop of a hat before they would even consider being in that situation. Not saying it’s right nor would I ever do it, but I understand lol.
Speaking from a person neither white nor black, me’s yellow. They’re very salty because y’all took and slammed the shite outta SPORTS! Especially basketball. So now they want to do some side shade with these fantasy football auctions.
Yes she swagger jacked, mikewillmadeit surprisingly sees little backlash due to that album, in the da club with jays on, jays on. She’s stupid af.
It’s truly jealousy, like for example watch black skateboarders compared to white, that sway is effortless and seemless. Black culture is just cooler or y’all take something and “hook it up.” May it be singing, dancing, anything they can do y’all can do better. Carry on my black, brown, beige, yellow and red (and poor, hood whites as Dave Chappelle says are hated by regular white ppl too) brothers and sisters.
Lil pump is Latino
Black Males sold out black music a long time ago…. It was just a matter of time….
They wanted to cross over and they began making music for white people… Now the nons they were making the music for and catering too for all of the 2000s dont need them no more and decided to replace them.
They had no problem moving black women out of music and making room for everyone in their space so this was only a matter of time.
Black males gladly sold out the genre… They began to cater to non black audience just look at the videos in the 2000’s
Stealing relaxers is low. But does Walmart lock up products coveted and stolen by white people?
Like what, dog food?
Don’t know about rap but it is hard to find good R&B and the white artist sounds so soulful. I listen to the Q101 Stations the sound is everything. They the artist have copied the soulful sound. Demi Lavato Sorry Not Sorry 1st song I liked because she sounds soulful, Shawn Mendez, Liam Payne Strip that Down its a banger the list goes on and on. Camila..Cabello Havana the Latin flare love that.
They have been stealing our sound we don’t buy the music it’s the young whites who by the music and make an impact on sells heck I don’t buy music I just put the songs I like in my you tube file. Sometimes rap is too graphic for me but young folks love that in your face music. I really don’t think that African Americans will loose their edge on rap it’s just embedded in the culture.
People do listen to it!!!Think about it this way. Out of all the generations of hip hop this is the first one where its cool to be the outcast or have a positive message or even be just weird (Lil Uzi Vert). Just as there are ones who look up to future there are others who love Mos Def and other logical rappers. Not all of us like gansgsta rap so stop putting “us” in a box…
a small fraction of people listen to those guys just look how many album sales they get and how many streams it pales in comparisons to these guys rapping this ignorant crap, and lil uzi vert=(Lucifer) is more than weird he speaks of murder and rape and killing women right after he have sex with them.. young people are not looking to those guys you spoke of for the answer they are looking at these guys who rap about homicide and drugs
After all this anti-black youth generation stuff im really starting to think you are a middle aged white man… Im done honey you are warped and sick. Let kids be kids. Not every kids looks up to the Migos if it was like that we wouldn’t have the Khalid’s and others who are doing their own thing. But you are hateful so of course you dont see it foh…
yup you cant capture the strong point of the argument so you resort to personal insults…typical
yup you cant capture the strong point of the argument so you resort to personal insults…typical
No I just know that if ignorance was bliss you’ d be a happy fool. You are too one sided and it comes off as a hate spewer over 300lbs who doesn’t have any love in their life. You live for debates because you either get no respect at home or your just ignored at work. Im all up for debate but I wont be roped into it by someone who seeks it out. For god sake it took you 3 minutes to respond to be after I was gone all weekend LOL. You are thirsty for arguing online…its sad.
it prolly took you a weekend to formulate an answer ,but like i said cant capture the strong point so you get personal..thats something losers do
Still shouldnt be using the N word….Just like Cardi B.. I understand they grew up around the word.. but that gives them the right to use the word?? Maybe it does considering they dont know History
Oh I absolutely agree. I know a lot of Latino hip hop (reggaeton/Latin hiphop) artist say it and I be like…. wait what. Is there something my black ass didn’t learn.
They sold their souls for money.
Exactly!
You’re so right, it’s their turn now, we’ve been watching this like you said since the 2000s! When they came up with the “Neo Soul” Genre, I knew this music classification would severely damage Black Artists, some of our best R&B, primarily women.
People didn’t mind because male hip hop took over R&B (w/features and singles sales) and had it’s cross-over sales too, but now that’s dwindling, as we witness this downward spiral (White Out)!
It’s gonna take another Berry Gordy, Quincy Jones, Nigel Rogers, etc., 2.0. to bring us back!
Six nine and lil pump are Hispanic and DJ Khaled middle eastern
