A Georgia woman who was convicted of running over her sugar daddy, crushing his legs, was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Junmakia Racquel Henley, 47, was irate after the victim cut off her funds.
Henley met the victim, a well-dressed man in his 60s, at a Walmart in Marietta in February 2016, Cobb County District Attorney Vic Reynolds said in a statement obtained by the NY Daily News.
The pair got better acquainted over the next several days, and Henley encouraged him to take her on a shopping spree out of town.
By the end of the week, the victim began to suspect Henley was using him, and he asked her to leave his home.
The victim walked Henley to her car parked in his driveway. Prosecutors say when she got in her car she accelerated and struck the victim.
The man landed on the hood of the car and Henley then put the car in reverse, causing the man to fall to the ground.
Henley reversed the car over the man before fleeing the scene.
The man suffered two broken legs and other injuries.
When police caught up with Henley the next day, she denied being at the victim’s house. She callously referred to her former sugar daddy as “what’s his name,” officials say.
A jury convicted Henley of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle, aggravated battery and felony hit and run.
She must serve at least 7 years in prison before she is eligible for parole, according to the The News.
