The suspect who was arrested and charged with fatally shooting rapper XXXTentacion may have referenced X’s murder on social media.
Dedrick Williams, 22, was arrested Wednesday and charged with first-degree murder and probation violation.
According to The Blast, Williams made a coded reference to the rapper’s death on his Facebook page.
Williams posted an image of himself wearing expensive jewelry, along with the caption: “Don’t piss me off u will never know wats next…” The post included gorilla emojis and a shhh smiley.
Police took Williams into custody less than 24 hours later.
Williams has an extensive criminal record, including a November arrest for possession of a firearm and possession of cocaine.
XXXTentacion was shot by two gunmen after he stopped by Ripa Motorsports in Deerfield Beach, Florida on Monday. A Louis Vuitton bag containing a large amount of cash and jewelry were taken from his car after the shooting.
On Thursday, police executed 3 warrants in connection with X’s death. More arrests are expected.
