The Cobb County District Attorney’s office is deciding whether to charge Bryan “Birdman” Williams, right, and rapper Yung Thug, left, as co-conspirators in the drive-by shooting of Lil Wayne’s tour bus in 2015.
Jimmy “Peewee Roscoe” Winfrey is already serving time in prison in connection with the shooting of the bus which occurred after Lil Wayne and his entourage departed from the Compound nightclub in Atlanta.
The DA is following up on reports that Birdman and Yung Thug instructed Winfrey to shoot up Lil Wayne’s tour bus.
Winfrey, pictured with Tameka “Tiny” Harris, is a former protege of rapper T.I. Harris. He appeared in T.I.’s reality TV show T.I.’s Road to Redemption on MTV in 2009.
Winfrey was Yung Thug’s road manager, and he was also affiliated with Cash Money Records.
The news comes hours after Lil Wayne dropped his long-awaited album, Tha Carter V, on Friday.
