Chris Tucker brought his look-alike son Destin Christopher Tucker to the screening of Quentin Tarantino’s latest film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood at the 72nd annual Cannes Film Festival.
Father and son also attended the Chopard Party in Cannes, France last week. Destin, who was born in 1998, is Chris’s son by his then-wife Azja Pryor.
Destin was by his dad’s side at the Captain Planet Foundation’s annual Benefit Gala in Atlanta in December.
Destin moved from his mother’s L.A. home to Atlanta, where his dad lives, to attend film school at Morehouse College in 2017.
“I think it was a great decision; it was like Morehouse chose us,” Chris told the college at the time. “I’m from Atlanta, and it’s just great for [Destin] to be down here and I’m here. It all just came together.”
Chris said having a child changed him and made him a better man. He and Destin’s mother, a casting director, divorced in 2003 when Destin was 5.
“It takes a while to realize you’re a father,” Chris said. “It’s like, ‘I’m a father. Somebody’s depending on me.’ So, it’s like, it’s different, but it changed me in a good way because it opens you up and it really opens up a different side of you and you have to, you really have somebody depending on you.”
