Singer Ciara celebrated the release of her album Basic Instinct at Drai’s Hollywood Enhanced by Microsoft Tag in Hollywood, CA last night. CiCi’s preliminary sales figures came out yesterday. She will sell at least 45k the first week, which is not bad at all in this economy.
I hear Ciara was thrilled and relieved beyond belief to know that she didn’t do Soulja Boy numbers. Ciara actually outsold the braggadocios rapper by 30k! In the meantime, Soulja Boy himself seems to have fallen off the face of the planet since setting the industry standard for the lowest sales by a B-list rapper ever: 15k.
CiCi and her hunky bodyguard/boyfriend were seen shopping in Los Angeles yesterday. I don’t know why Ciara told that lie that she never dated rapper 50 Cent. We all know for a fact that the two once dated. Maybe she’s trying to distance herself from his recent, embarrassing attention-grabbing antics on Twitter?
