One of Venus and Serena Williams’ 19 siblings is speaking out about their father, Richard Williams, whom she calls a “serial cheat.”
Sabrina, 55, is Richard’s firstborn daughter. She is speaking out for the first time about her famous father, who left home to buy her a bicycle when she was 8 years old, and never returned.
Sabrina says Richard abandoned his family and ran off with another woman. The other woman later became his wife and bore him 2 girls – Venus and Serena – who went on to become tennis superstars.
“My mom told me later that he’s never coming back,” Sabrina said. “We went from having everything to nothing. The best dresses, parties, we’d go places. Now there was no new shoes or clothes. He’s not a dad. He was just a sperm donor.”
Despite growing up estranged from her famous siblings, Sabrina said she holds no animosity towards them and she hopes one day they can all meet and put the past behind them.
Richard, 77, is pictured at a tennis match with his ex-wife Lakeisha Graham in 2012. She is the mother of his youngest child, Dylan.
Sabrina said she knows of between 15 and 19 siblings that Richard fathered. She believes there may be more siblings in the wild.
“I know there’s more siblings, I was told between fifteen and nineteen all over the place, from LA to Louisiana,” she told SunOnline.
“My mom always argued with my dad about his affairs, he was a serial cheat. I remember that was always the main thing they’d talk about.”
After suffering abuse at the hands of her mother for years, Sabrina left home at age 20 or 21 and slept in her car for six months.
“Somehow I got hold of my dad through a relative and asked for $1,000 to pay some of the college bill at Hope Christian University,” she told SunOnline.
“He said he’d only give me the money as a loan. That’s when I knew he was an a**hole.”
Sabrina, who has two sons, says she met her famous siblings for the first time at Knott’s Berry Farm, a theme park in California. The sisters were there with Richard.
“I saw him and thought: ‘Hey, that looks like my dad.”
“I went over, we exchanged hellos, and we hung out for an hour, that was it. He gave me his number and told me to call him, then guess what? The number he gave me was out of order.”
