On Tuesday I incorrectly stated that Chris Brown fired his longtime manager Tina Davis. In fact, Brown hired Bu Thiam to head his management team. Bu and Tina will share management duties. I regret the error.

If you noticed a kinder, more intellectual Chris Brown tweeting on social networking website Twitter.com, there’s a good reason for that.
6 months after telling the media Chris Brown would not give interviews in 2012, Brown’s longtime manager Tina Davis has been fired.
Singer/rapper Akon’s brother Abu Thiam, VP of A&R for Def Jam, replaces Tina as Brown’s new manager, Sandrarose.com learned exclusively.
Davis has taken the brunt of the blame for the colossal failure of Brown’s heavily promoted fifth studio album, Fortune. Davis ran afoul of Brown’s mother, Joyce Hawkins, when she reportedly began a longterm sexual relationship with the teenage Brown.
Davis, who is in her 40s, has always denied having an inappropriate relationship with her well-endowed client. In 2009 Davis’ lawyer Marshall Grossman released a statement, saying “The relationship between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown is that of manager and client. There has never been any other relationship. The rumors in circulation are false.”
She will continue to work for Brown’s management team in a minor role.
Bu began his career as road manager for rappers Lil Zane and Loon in the 1990s. He was eventually promoted to co-CEO of Konvict Muzik, where he helped manage the careers of singer Lady Gaga and rapper T-Pain, among others.
Now that Brown’s failing career is finally in good hands, expect to see more philosophical tweets like the one Brown tweeted on Monday:
Life: the sum of the distinguishing phenomena of organisms, especially metabolism, reproduction, and the power of adaptation to environment.
