On Tuesday, February 22nd, Da Brat & Jesseca “Judy” Dupart, stars of WE tv’s series “Brat Loves Judy,” were married in a romantic wedding ceremony and reception in front of family and friends at Horse Mansion in Fairburn, Georgia.
In attendance at the nuptials were groomsman and longtime friend Jermaine Dupri, Eva Marcille & Michael Sterling, Porsha Williams, Kandi Burruss (pictured center), legendary comedian and radio personality Rickey Smiley, Supa Cent, and Brat’s sister LisaRaye McCoy (also a bridesmaid).
Both brides wore dresses designed by Esé Azénabor and Jimmy Choo shoes (though Da Brat chose sneakers with her dress). The wedding was planned by EllyB Events (Eliana Baucicault) and Pomp Posh Event Decor.
The brides arrived at the ceremony in Cinderella-esque house-drawn carriages and were escorted down the aisle by their groomsmen Jermaine Dupri and Jesseca’s brother Damon Dupart Sr., to the wedding anthem “Here and Now” by Luther Vandross.
The reception area was adorned with flowers of pink and purple hues, and the couple glided across the floor for their first dance, through a romantic mist. Rickey Smiley danced with Brat for the honorary “father-daughter dance” and there were special performances by Keith Sweat and Le’Andria Johnson.
The guests enjoyed food by Bold Catering & Design and a Buttered Almond cake from Cakes by La’Meeka (La’Meeka Edwards).
As the event came to an end, the happy couple danced out of the reception, accompanied by the Treme Sidewalk Steppers Second Line Band. Guests celebrated and cheered, waving their purple napkins in the air as the couple drove off in a blue Bentley with Jesseca behind the wheel. The newlyweds are heading to Turks & Caicos for their honeymoon.
The wedding will appear on a new season of “Brat Loves Judy,” premiering this June on WE tv.
