Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard wants his estranged wife to drop his last name as part of his divorce filing.
“(Respondent) should be restored her former name of Kay’La Hanson,” Lillard, 33, stated in court documents he filed days after being traded from the Portland Trail Blazers to the Bucks.
In his divorce filing, obtained by RadarOnline.com, Lillard cited “irreconcilable difference,” and no hope for reconciliation.
Kay’La moved out of the family’s Portland home in Dec. 2022.
Lillard also wants Kay’La to pay her own attorney’s fees, per their prenuptial agreement.
Kay’La is the mother of Lillard’s 5-year-old son and 2-year-old twins.
On Sunday, Lillard posted a photo that shows him playing with his children in a hotel room. He captioned the image: “Remember why you do what you do.”
