The Los Angeles Lakers suffered a blowout loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night. Lakers superstar LeBron James extended his streak of missed threes to 24. Grant Williams holds the record for missed threes at 25 misses.

LeBron’s slump on the court has led fans to suggest that his eldest son Bronny James may have experienced another health emergency. Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest in July 2023.
Bronny, 20, has not been seen in public since former NFL star Ryan Clark called out the Lakers and LeBron for their handling of the rookie guard.
“What Has Bronny James Earned?,” Clark (pictured left) tweeted. “You don’t get treated differently because of your parents. You get treated differently because of your ability to contribute,” Clark added.
The Lakers sent Bronny down to the G League full-time after Clark called them out. But Bronny only played 2 games with the South Bay Lakers before he went missing 3 weeks ago.
South Bay coaches claim Bronny has a “heel contusion” – which in medical terms means he has a bruise on his heel. But a bruise shouldn’t cause him to miss games for 3 weeks.
NBA legend Charles Barkley also criticized the Lakers and LeBron for coddling Bronny.
“They’ve handled it awful,” Barkley said. “I thought it was great, a little ceremony his first game. But the kid is not ready to play in the NBA.”
“He should be in the G League, so he can play basketball,” Barkley added. “He’s not going to get better sitting on the bench. This thing where he’s only gonna play home games? It’s stupid. It’s not fair to him. It’s not fair to the team. Can you imagine the coach of that team?”
In a live video reaction to the Lakers’ blow out loss on Monday, retired NBA star Gilbert Arenas said “Where Bronny James at? If I am coach, I’m about to talk to Bronny, ‘Hey man, how’s the heel?'”
Lakers fans blame LeBron’s slump on fans bullying his son online. LeBron quit X (formerly Twitter) because he couldn’t take the bullying anymore.
In a podcast on Nov 12, Bronny’s mother, Savannah James, shared her thoughts about how she deals with Bronny’s haters.
“I tried to stay away… Not stay away from the game, just stay away from the people so I don’t hear the banter,” Savannah told “Everybody’s Crazy” co-host April McDaniel.
“I’m an overprotective parent, too, and there’s only so much that you could take, especially when these are kids… I started to learn breathing techniques because I had to talk myself down from cussing people out.”
