Kawhi Leonard has left the L.A. Clippers to be with his family after losing his Pacific Palisades mansion in the wildfires.

2 people are dead and thousands of homes have been destroyed in the wildfires in the Los Angeles area.

TMZ reports that Leonard is “stepping away” from the Clippers as his loved ones deal with the aftermath of the blaze, according to insider Chris Haynes.

The NBA champ bought a mansion in the Pacific Palisades for $17.1 million back in 2021. The Pacific Palisades was devastated by the wildfires and strong winds.

Kawhi made his season debut on January 4 in Atlanta — his first game since recovering from a knee injury. He scored 12 points to help the Clippers defeat the Atlanta Hawks 131-105.

After authorizing another $500 million to the Ukraine this week, President Joe Biden said 10 Navy helicopters have been dispatched from San Diego to help fight wildfires.

“We are prepared to do anything and everything for as long as it takes to contain these fires.”

Firefighters complained that there is no water in the hydrants. Elon Musk says California’s governor could easily stop the massive wildfires, but he refuses to put in fire breaks for environmental reasons.
