Drake’s artist, Toronto rapper Hassan Ali, a.k.a. Top5, is in a London hospital fighting for his life after he was stabbed in the neck by a masked assailant.
Ali and Drake were in London for the 2025 Wireless Festival where Drake was the headliner. Ali was best known for threatening other rappers on Drake’s behalf.
The rapper was talking to fans following Drake’s concert when a masked man ran up and stabbed him in the neck. Guns are banned in London.
The incident occurred near the venue in London, England.
In a cell phone video recorded the day before the stabbing, Ali is seen joking that there were no “killers in the UK.”
“They’re not gonna come and kill us?” he asked a friend. “Give ’em shorty’s address,” he added.
“God bless you, Top5,” the friend said as he walked away.

In 2021, Ali was accused of murdering 20-year-old college student Hashim Omar Hashi in Toronto. In 2024, the murder charges were dropped after a judge ruled his violent rap lyrics and social media posts could not be used as evidence against him in court.
