Police responding to a 911 call on June 16 found 62-year-old Patton Sr., aka “Uncle Moonie,” deceased behind the wheel of a car that had crashed into a house on Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard NW near Rock Street.

A man who was house sitting at the time told police that Patton was attempting to turn onto a road when he got into a verbal altercation with 2 people. He said one of the people shot Patton in the back, causing him to lose control of the car and crash into the house.

“I’m like, ‘What the heck happened to my place that I’m staying now?'” Chris Walker told WSB-TV. “I never thought it would be this property.”
