Kim Kardashian’s new SKIMS face wrap has been slammed by critics as a “scam” and a “cash grab.” Kim launched the new item from her SKIMS line this week.

The SKIMS website claims the $68 face wrap is made of SKIMS’ “signature sculpting fabric and features collagen yarns for ultra-soft jaw support”.

SKIMS says the face wrap reduces puffiness and increases lymphatic drainage in the neck.

“It just snatches your little chinny chin chin,” Kim said, according to Buzzfeed. “It’s super comfortable to wear at night or just around the house.”

But critics slammed the new product, saying it isn’t a beauty product at all and that it has no benefits.

Doctors warned consumers not to waste their money on the product.

“It’s really not going to make any long-term structural changes of any kind,” plastic surgeon, Dr. Anil Shah told The New York Post.

Dr. Shah said in order to sculpt the jawline, you’d need to remove or redistribute fat, tighten the skin or tone the neck muscles – and a wrap can’t do those things.

“Don’t waste your money on this one,” he said. “I understand how shapewear can make you look good with clothes on, but sleeping with this is not going to have any effect.”

But Kim is pressing on with marketing for her new headgear. She even convinced A-list actor Sir Anthony Hopkins (“Silence of the Lambs”) to wear one in an online advert.

Hopkins reprises his iconic Silence of the Lambs character, Hannibal Lecter, while wearing the garment over his head.

“Hello Kim, I’m already feeling 10 years younger,” Hopkins said in Hannibal Lecter’s creepy voice. Then he makes a slurping sound before saying, “Goodbye.”

Hopkins captioned the post: “Thank you, Kim. Don’t be afraid to come over for dinner.”
