Social media users claim reality star and R&B singer Tamar Braxton faked her injuries to promote her new EP and movie coming out in September.

In an emotional Instagram post, Tamar explained that she “almost died” on August 17, and she asked for prayers.

“I struggled to write this but everyone keeps calling me and honestly, I can’t even really talk anymore,” Tamar wrote. “I’m so weak. I almost died Sunday. I was found in a pool of blood from my friend with a face injury. As the days go by the worse it is.”

She continued: “I fractured my nose, lost some teeth and mobility. The way I look at life now is totally different. As my health is on the mend, my mental journey begins. Pray for me for real [broken heart emojis].”

Almost immediately, fans accused Tamar of faking her injuries. Some people said she would soon emerge from hiding with a new face.

But others said she faked her injuries to promote her new EP, Heartbreak Retrograde, and her new movie.

Tamar denied faking her injuries in an Instagram post.
