Television mogul 50 Cent leaked surveillance video that shows rapper Jim Jones (left) allegedly breaking into an apartment after he was evicted.

50 Cent captioned the Instagram video:

“Damn bro this wouldn’t happen if we was friends, wanna be friends? I don’t know let’s rap about it ! LOL @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi. Delicious.”

The video, dated Thursday, February 19, shows the 49-year-old rapper kicking doors inside an apartment building at 780 East 133rd Street in the Bronx, NY.

The aging rapper, real name Joseph Jones, is heard telling a friend, “He cut the lights off,” referring to the landlord.

Jones repeatedly kicked an apartment door until he was out of breath. But the door didn’t budge.

The commotion brought another tenant into the hallway. She asked Jones if he was okay.

He responded, “What’s up? What happened? Yeah, I’m good.”

“It’s mine, it’s my apartment,” Jones told the resident while walking toward her. “You got a problem?”

Jones then kicked in another door. A man who is with him entered the apartment and walked back out, as Jones walked back down the hallway.

50 Cent also leaked an eviction notice that shows Jones is in default of his lease agreement signed on December 17, 2025. He was served with a 15-day notice of default which expired on February 17.

The notice shows the landlord took possession of the apartment and changed the locks on the doors.

Jones was forbidding from entering the apartment to retrieve his belongings without the landlord’s permission.

The landlord, Raber Enterprises LLC, agreed to coordinate with Jones to collect his belongings and furniture.

Jones has had financial difficulties over the years due to declining music sales and bad investments. The home he once shared with longtime partner Chrissy Lampkin in New Jersey was foreclosed on and sold back to the bank for $100 in 2019.

Jones and Chrissy Lampkin, 54, reportedly split in 2024 after dating for over 20 years. But other reports say they got back together.

Jones is best known as a founding member of the Harlem-based hip-hop collective The Diplomats. His biggest hit, “Ballin”, is a rap song about spending out of control.
