
Singer D4vd was transferred to the same jail where accused killer Nick Reiner is being held. The transfer happened days before the 1-year anniversary of Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s murder.
The L.A. County medical examiner announced 14-year-old Celeste suffered multiple stab wounds that caused her death on April 23, 2025.
Additionally, she suffered cuts to her hands that indicate she fought with her attacker. Celeste’s body was mutilated on May 5, 2025. Her arms, legs, and two of her fingers were amputated and placed in 2 bags.
The teen’s death was ruled a homicide. D4vd, 21, is charged with her murder.
He was transferred from the L.A. County Men’s Central Jail after a judge denied bond at his arraignment on April 20, where he pled not guilty.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department website, D4vd is currently being housed at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles.
It’s the same jail where Rob Reiner’s son, Nick Reiner, is being held pending his murder trial. Nick is charged with killing his parents while they slept on December 14, 2025.

Twin Towers is a newer facility that provides mental health services to at-risk inmates. D4vd is not on suicide watch.

According to TMZ, Celeste’s parents plan to skip Thursday’s preliminary hearing after the autopsy results were released to the public on Wednesday.
The Rivas Hernandez family, through their attorney, tells TMZ they’re suffering “profound emotional pain” after reviewing the report into their daughter’s murder. They described the autopsy details as “horrible and gruesome.” They’re now asking for privacy, understanding and patience as they process the tragedy.
