Life has gotten much worse for embattled NY Knicks point guard Raymond Felton, whose wife filed for divorce after 19 months of matrimony. Not only does Ariane Raymondo-Felton want her last name back, but she also wants all of Felton’s wealth and assets, including his balls — autographed basketballs, that is.
Felton turned himself in, after police say his wife Ariane Raymondo-Felton—who filed for divorce last week—brought the gun to police and said she found it in her home. New York has very strict laws on unregistered firearms (that’s what earned Plaxico Burress nearly two years in prison) and Felton has been charged with second-degree and third-degree criminal possession of a firearm, both felonies, and misdemeanor count of fourth-degree possession.
The New York Post (and no one else for now) is reporting that Felton allegedly pointed a gun at a woman, and that a girlfriend may have been involved. We will learn more when Felton makes an expected appearance in court later this morning. Source
Update: The NY Post says Felton pointed a “bad ass” gun at his wife.
“The wife is saying they had four verbal altercations since July last year. On the last one, he pointed a gun at her. It’s an armor-piercing gun, loaded. It’s a bad ass gun,” a law enforcement source told The NY Post. Read more.
